I hope this new rumor Eklund just posted is not even REMOTELY true.
"The Canucks have interest in Tomas Kopecky"
A 33 year old with 7 points in 42 games????????
There is not one player or pick worthy of trading for a player like that. |

Pete Carols new job - VANTEL
I wonder who made that play call...Carroll on the sidelines or Russell on the field? Maybe the Offensive Co-Ordinator?
Wow...
We've all seen Super Bowl Gaffs and Blunders but three chances to run the ball in from the 1 1/2 yd line and they put the ball in play on an attempted 5 yd strike...

I'm so baffled. Kearse makes a circus catch, you have the most powerful running back in the game at your disposal and you throw it from a yard out?
Someone needs to lose there job over this. Im beyond pissed. |

Yup, I'm blown away. You have Lynch and multiple downs to punch it in. Who cares if New England knows exactly what you are going to do, you're telling me Lynch can't get a yard? Crazy. Oh well, great game either way. |

Deion Sanders explained it perfectly.
They wanted to make Russell Wilson the Hero so they could justify them making him the highest paid player in the NFL next season.
The didn't want Marshawn Lynch to be the Hero. |

Just heard Carroll say he didn't have right matchup at goal-line, so call was to take TD shot with pass THEN run if incomplete. Huh? #SB49
Did you have money on the game? |

Maybe they have now saved some money and can pay Wilson less and Lynch more... |

I was more shocked that Belichek didn't call a time out with 55 seconds left.
When he let the clock run & I was speechless, but it worked out.
I fully thought he was going to call the time out to preserve time, then let them score.
Going 50 yards in 50 seconds to get the field goal seemed more logical.

I saw a stat that Lynch ran the ball 5 times from the 1 this year. 1 Td, 2 no gains and 2 losses.
End of the day, the defender made an unreal play, great game...sucks ass they lost, but people saying fire Carrol etc... Canucks fans? |

Haha yeah, they would be stupid to fire Pete Carroll and they probably won't.
However, Darrell Bevell was considered for head coaching gigs, he can kiss those goodbye. |

No dont fire carol. Hes done an amazing job Bevel however, the offensive co-ordinator should not have a job in the morning. That guy admitted it was his call and he fukked up bad.
BUT. I will say the rookie who picked off Wilson made a great play.
I would have prefered we got blown out than to lose that way. I dont have enough words to explain how disappointed I am. ESPECIALLY after Kearse made the catch of the year. It seemed like it was destiny after he made that circus catch.
Ahhhhh well. Next year I guess. |

If they had completed that play it would've went down as one of the greatest fooleries in SB history. Everyone thinks they're going to Lynch, and they pass it? The call would have been praised forever.
I hardly watch football, and, I gotta say, this had to be one of the most exciting games I've ever seen of any sport. The entertainment factor was on another level. |

Before I sign off for the evening, I wanted to talk about Clendenning. I'm not saying he's going to be the Canucks saviour or anything, but you have to like what you saw today. He's very quick to get the pass off, and his movements along the blue line are very dynamic. I'm hoping he can bring a new look to the blueline that will help open up some of his teammates.
I really like the quick pass back he made to Higgins. His quick decision opened up the defense just enough for the puck to go from Higgins to Burrows to Vey who got a solid shot off from the slot.
I dont think it will be long till we see him on the top PP unit. When that happens, I hope the guy coming off is Daniel. A #1 unit of Vrbata - Henrik - Bonino with Edler and Clendenning + a #2 of Daniel - Vey - Burrows Hamhuis - Bieksa (Tanev) looks pretty good on paper. |
