Deion Sanders explained it perfectly.

They wanted to make Russell Wilson the Hero so they could justify them making him the highest paid player in the NFL next season.

The didn't want Marshawn Lynch to be the Hero.

- classic321

Wilson is great but if Seattle pays him more then Indy pays Luck then they are retarded

Still the dumbest play call in the history of the game. No excuse . 3 downs 1 yard with Wilson and 24 in your backfield?

Anyone watch the highlights of the Pens - Preds game? Last goal for the Preds had more goalie interference than the one disallowed in the Canucks game yesterday...

Is the Marek Zidlicky rumour a joke or possibly some discussion there before the Clendening trade went through? Don't think we need him now if we ever did.

It's amazing how many Hawks fans there are in Vancouver all of a sudden. such a bandwagon town.

As a long time Seahawks fan, it's pretty annoying seeing so many non football fans critizing the play call. Sure it didn't work out, but I'll trust Pete Carroll all day long. No one seems to talk about the play at the end of the half..if that went the other way ...

Before I sign off for the evening, I wanted to talk about Clendenning. I'm not saying he's going to be the Canucks saviour or anything, but you have to like what you saw today. He's very quick to get the pass off, and his movements along the blue line are very dynamic. I'm hoping he can bring a new look to the blueline that will help open up some of his teammates.

I really like the quick pass back he made to Higgins. His quick decision opened up the defense just enough for the puck to go from Higgins to Burrows to Vey who got a solid shot off from the slot.

I dont think it will be long till we see him on the top PP unit. When that happens, I hope the guy coming off is Daniel. A #1 unit of Vrbata - Henrik - Bonino with Edler and Clendenning + a #2 of Daniel - Vey - Burrows Hamhuis - Bieksa (Tanev) looks pretty good on paper.

I didn't get to watch the game yesterday so this is much appreciated bud

I'm not a football fan, but if the throw had been completed they definitely would have been saying how clever it was to go to the throw when the Patriots would be expecting the run. It was a gamble that failed

Isn't that the case with just about every business or venture. The guy that gets you there when nobody else was able to make it that far all of a sudden is the biggest idiot in the world when there is a mistake?

I thought they should have ran the ball but was unaware of their record of 1 for 5 attempts when in that same position...

Crabs in a bucket.

Instead it's how great Brady is and what a champion. He should have lost the game, he was sitting on the bench pouting like a little girl. Now he's a hero and mvp of the Super Bowl.

There's a rumor being batted around of Eberle and Petry for Vasilevshy, Gudas and Connolly

Doesn't matter about their record. You had 3 tries. At least try it once or a fake handoff and Wilson carries. You don't throw the ball.

I would have run it.

If they hadn't had thrown the interception and completed for the td, as a few mentioned, it would have been recognized as a brilliant gutsy call... and if they hadn't thrown the interception or it was an incomplete pass, they would have likely ran it next..

And as mentioned- earlier in the game, when they went for the touchdown instead of the safe field goal, they may have never been in that position to win at that stage of the game. I was calling for the field goal and to take the safe points...

It was interesting and a bit emotional, I'm not a big NFL fan, and was happy I wasted my time watching it.

The play in the first half when they went for the TD if they dropped the bLl they could have called a time out and kicked the FG.

Columbus has 9 D and a lack of forwards. Toss them Higgins and get either cody goloubef or dalton prout. Both young. We should probably get a 3 or 4th back too.

I didn't mind the play just not for the Seahawks. Better to try Mathews or Luke Wilson.
