All true with some exaggeration. But I think that roster would fare better in a playoff situation than our roster. Boy, some of their players can really drive the net.
- bloatedmosquito

I was thinking the opposite. The Jets are a big fast exciting team, but they are a mess in front of their own net. The Canucks haven't gotten that many good looks in awhile. I think that they would get eaten alive in the playoffs. To be fair, the Canucks probably would as well, if they make it.

for the next couple games i hope there smart to put kassian in, bench higgins or hansen, kassian is more noticable then them, and wont leave dorsett as the only fighter, and ive said this before but why isnt our best faceoff guy on our power play
- phyllee

Horvat might well end up being the best face off guy on the team but recently he is performing around the same as the other C's. Horvat's % is still better than Bonino/Henrik/Vey/Richardson but that is from his insane start to the season.

Eventually opposing coaches had to start putting better F/O match ups against him... it was bound to happen.

And why hasnt sbisa dropped the gloves yet, isnt that why willie wanted him because back in medicine hat days he was tough to play against
- phyllee

Tough to play against doesn't mean fighting necessarily. You are confusing the term tough to play against with enforcer. If requesting players who fight was Willies agenda, we would still have Toasttito in the line up.

Possible, but his first couple of games he was matching up against Kopitar/Kesler at times so I think it is likely more something that evens out over a large enough sample. Nothing against Bo, for a 19 year old he is doing very well at the dot, I just don't agree that he is at this point necessarily the best face off guy on the team.

Would u guys do Kassian and Higgins for Berglund(who has fallen out of favor in stl)
Big guy with decent hands.

Probably. If only because it shrinks two players into 1, but he is a lot like Matthias

Jets are thugs who are dumb and can't play hockey.

They are trying to copy Boston and Chicago, yet they lack a few key players. They don't have a Toews, Kane, Bergeron, Keith, Seabrook, Hossa, Krejci, Marchand, Lucic type player. They have goons who are dumb as sh1t.

Their star players are Ladd, Wheeler and Enstrom. Good luck with that.

Those penalties they kept taking were comical. Peluso shouldn't be in the NHL. Bogosian is a total bust, guy will never live up to the hype.

- Scooby_Doo

Seriously?? You listed the just top guys...Ladd, Wheeler, Buff...are they top scorers?? No...so how do you want them to play?? They play the western style game, fast and hard! If you don't like that game, then that's too bad. We don't have goons, the closest might be Peluso...but if you actually watched more than 1 game, you would know he is no goon. The penalties are comical, 50 % earned, 50 % garbage! It's been going on for a while like that. But all that really matters is will they make the playoffs or not....and if we do, I would much rather have the JETS lineup going in a 7 game series than your Canucks.

He's been in the 30 point range for the last few seasons on a pretty stacked team. The deal would only make sense if we thought he'd overtake Bonino as our 2C, They're both 26 but Bonino's been playing better the past couple seasons.

Not overly physical or offensively productive. Only has 16 points this year and is making just shy of 4 mil. Would add some size to the lineup but I don't think it's a huge win. I'd almost rather have Matthias at 1.85m if he signs for his current salary

They're stacked, but he doesn't play top6. And they play pretty defensively. I agree there some risk. He has put up numbers though. I was thinking bonino could be his winger

I don't think they are copying anyone. Much faster than Boston, much more physical than Chicago. Throw in Ehlers/Petan and that will add that much more skill to the lineup. I think your strength right now is the blueline but once some youth comes up/develops I think WPG will be a very fun team to watch

I certainly wouldn't acquire him to be a 2C. If we pick him up IMO it would be to permanently take the 3C slot unless he has a breakout season at 27 y/o

Booth has never been the same player since his injury. He's had countless opertunities. No sense in acquiring him for bottom 6. He's unquestionably better then Mathias but to expensive for that role

I could see that. Both teams have speed, skill, size, edge (dirty). No way they can compare with that roster as is on paper right now though. Maybe in a couple of years
