They're ugly as (frank). I pray they bring back the original as an alternate. - vancity787
It just screams plain to me. I know they decided to stick with Jets but it would have been a great opportunity to come up with a badass new brand/logo. How about the Winnipeg Windigos? How is this for a (frank)ing logo
Edit: it even looks like Bogosian, all those (frank)ers have huge beards |

Seems like it's not enough of a package to get a top player but a bit too much if you are looking at someone a tier lower. I think Bieksa mentioned Seguin - although I don't think Dallas does that deal but it would be close - Zogg

Not bad value, but I don't think it'd help this team much. You'd score more and give up more goals. - Nucker101
I think we have a better chance of finding a defensive d man(perhaps not quite as good as Tanev) then a scorer. |

If that 3rd was upgraded to a 1st I think it is ballpark star player type of package but for a lower tier top 6 forward if you are giving up your two best prospects just to hang on to your 1st then there is something wrong with your GM |

Man, I still think the Canucks should have gone after Dillon. The guy is young, has a mean streak, and is a tough SOB. He can also chip in with some offense and is fairly sound defensively

You're making the assumption that GM's have common sense
I agree with the comments, there's no way I would be giving up those type of prospects/assets unless we are looking at a top tier player

Stars wanted a righty so it had to be Tanev or Bieksa in the deal. |

I wouldn't trade hall for horvat straight up. Horvat is gonna be a beauty and with mccann and Virtanen we have 3 young greay players. I am scared in 2 years that we are behind the curve as the Sedin have given us all they have and we aren't ready to replace like they replaced Nas Lund. But horvat and mccann can potentially be Bergeron krejci in the playoffs. I am excited and trader Jim has been killing it for us. - The_Kuze
Hall was the second highest scoring left winger last season. He's still young. He's bonified top six ready.... and probably Elite on a good team. It would leave a hole in the middle for sure but young elite top 6 is hard to acquire....and something that's been so difficult for the Canucks to draft/trade for. It would be a sure thing at least. Horvat is still a question mark for top six.

and even then, it's not like Colorado is banging pucks in left and right. Just means that you can have the talent but if you don't have a couple of high-minute high-end puck moving defenseman, you are pretty much hooped . If your top end forwards don't get that distribution then it doesn't matter how good of an offense you have - Zogg
I think I after 3 years we will be ok . The core will all have expired contracts and MCCann Virtanen and hopefully 4-5 others will be ready to step in.
Benning seems to be drafting bigger kids with skill . he is also making some slick trades.
I heard this guy on the radio today who is involved with something along the lines of Hockey Futures and he gave high praises to Pedan Kenins Markstrom off the Comets.
I don't see us being a pansy ass team in 4 more years |

Ahh, so that was the stumbling block... too bad, I think Dillon would have fit in perfectly as a second unit defenseman (once he gets some of the kinks out of his game) |

I think there is always room for added toughness and it looks like we are starting to draft along those lines (but toughness with skill - can't wait to see how McCann pans out - and Bo is looking fantastic already |

Interesting to hear Kenins comments on his goals. He said his first one was just lucky but the second one, he knew from watching film prior to the game that Pavelec had struggled with shots in that area and tried to take advantage of this.
You don't often hear guys talking about where and why they are placing their shots. |

Agree. For a top 10 winger in the league...make it happen.

I know Lefty has been high on this centre out of Seattle , but I looked at his stats( haven't seen him play) , but I thought meh. I like Bittner out of Portland. He is big he can fight he can score. I seen him at the prospects game and seen some highlights of him on TSN. I like what I seen so far. I know he is ranked around 30 . |

I would have rather liked the rumor yesterday of E Kane coming to vancouver to be true. WPG seems to want to get rid of him so wouldn't require an over payment. |

Kassian, Higgins and Hansen probably would have covered that trade. Which would be fair value. |

Tanev, Lack and Hansen for Strome and Da Haan - Bieksa#3
Everyone wants to trade Tanev. Dude is about to hit his stride, he's going to be signed to a long term affordable contract, and is arguably our best defenceman. I wouldn't trade him unless the offer was to good to be true. |

I would trade him in a trade for Hall not for Kane or Strome |
