He got a lot of hate because people expected more from him. He was a good depth option. Fringe top 6 player. He did a lot of other things right -- puck support, protecting the puck, going to the dirty areas, driving the net. Staff could be a key player on a cup contender IMO.

I'm out of the running on this one.

Look at the rest of that series. It says everything. Regular season level hitting... 20's and 30's from each team. Average about 20 hits between both teams per period throughout all game (which makes up for 91 in the 2OT 5 period game).

kane/mceichel represents 2/3 of a top line...ennis can fill...girgensons drops a slot, as does moulson...re-signing stew puts him top-six for now until either one of the youngins (bailey) develops or they land a right-winger, imo...
