Fine use of the words, "Quint", "Nice little Story" but good Lord save some room for adjectives to describe your undeniable "humility"!

Good Lord, if you don't watch FOX News while posting.

I'm so glad you came in with your cape and saved the "Professionals Positions" of "Architects and Engineers" who I'm sure haven't ever experienced the world through the narrow lenses of our very own "Hard Hat". Hell they might even be able to view both sides of a debate and gather information to inform themselves and build their knowledge with the help of those around them rather than having an all-seeing eye that allows "THE TRUTH" to be revealed to only you!

I did not nor do I come in with my cape brother.

Just happens on most job sites to be honest.

What's on those rolled up pieces of paper I am given by the architect/engineer, 9 times out of 10 never ever work out in the field.

Big word in my biz is "field adjustments" .

Some guys are afraid to make them on the sites without making 20 phone calls and holding up production for 4 hours waiting for a decision from the "offices".

I don't wait, I make happen what I know is the only thing that can happen on the job site.
It's why I get "paid".

I have landscape architects and DOT engineers that request me to do all the work on their particular site.
It's not boasting, it's just the truth.
And I mean what the hell, I have been doing it for 28 years now, I should be excellent at it.
And I should be proud, I have run and completed some pretty large projects in my day.
The egos, including the architects , and the EIC's (engineer in charge) make me wanna drink.
Much to my surprise I am NOT an alcoholic.
Hey anyone that has been doing what I have been doing for as long as I have and is good it , should never be afraid nor ashamed of admitting that they are good.
I leave the humility for the people that aren't so confident.

Who is this Ryan Howard you speak of? I thought the goalie for Detroit was Jimmy Howard.

You clearly work with way too many DOT engineers. John Dougherty, perhaps.

I hate engineers and architects. Love how the contractors call me looking for kryptonite and anchors made of unobtainium for the project.

I still think they should keep Pysyk, even if he doesn't fit the "huge and tough" mold Murray's going for. They still need a guy who can throw the puck to the forwards without giving it away. Gorges, Weber, and Zadorov can't do that.
