Unless the Flyers are offered a 1st round pick or good prospect, which is unlikely, I think they should hang onto MDZ. He's young enough to be a part of this retool/rebuild and has potential still. He's not going anywhere as a restricted free agent and if he were they'd be able to match or get compensation anyway. Work on moving out Coburn and Grossman at the deadline. |

Unless the Flyers are offered a 1st round pick or good prospect I think they should hang onto MDZ. He's young enough to be a part of this retool/rebuild and has potential still. He's not going anywhere as a restricted free agent and if he were they'd be able to match or get compensation anyway. Work on moving out Coburn and Grossman at the deadline.

First off id never give him that kind of money based on one year. He'd be a candidate for a 2 year deal in my opinion at a 3 million range. He's only in his mid 20s though, alot can happen to young defensemen between their rookie years and then. |
