It's really not any different, outside of the Luongo fiasco which was created by coaching & management, in other markets around the league. SJ, Edmonton, Anaheim, Pheonix and even LA have all had suspect goaltending this year. And that's just our division. - LeftCoaster
So trade Lack, keep Markstrom? |

If it wasn't for Miller, I bet we have 10-15 more losses. If we hadn't have signed him, we'd be bottom 5 in the league. Would the Sedins be for sale? - I-own_da-Northwest
Tankists would have been all okay with that... |
|
|
|
So what I'm reading is we shouldn't have signed miller - Bieksa#3
Only if you're into the tank nation BS that gets spewed around here. I hate that crap. |

Kids these days. I don't pretend to understand them.
The draft lottery is a flawed system I don't know how to fix it either. It sure doesn't make bottom feeding teams want to compete in the last half of the season. I feel sorry for said teams fan bases and season ticket holders. |

It is easy to fix . All teams that miss the playoffs get even chance at bottom 14 spots |

The new system is fine.(starting next yr) NBA has had it for 20yrs. With last place team picking 1st 3 times. And the teams with the lowest odds (under 1%) picking 1st once |

I don't think it should be an even chance. But remember you tank in the new system, there's a good chance you're picking 4th |

McCann 2a last night
Grenier 1g 2a
Shink 1a
Seeing as McCann is not ahl eligible. Is probably gonna finish top 10 in scoring and is probably the best 2 way player in the league. If he can add a little more muscle I see his situation like Bo's from last yr. Nothing for him in jr - Bieksa#3
Be nice if Horvat took the next step to more minutes (3rd line) and McCann could come in and replicate This year's Horvat(4th line) |

I'd like to see them draw all 14 spots, so there's a chance the last place team picks 14th, even if that chance is incredibly small |

Why does Edmonton deserves top pick year after year and Vancouver get 15 th? Why should all the top new talent of the league be sent to teams like Fla Car PHX to cities that don't really support their team?
NHL is rewarding failure and bad management .
I am totally against giving any team that misses the playoffs a better chance than my team that misses . |

I have no problem with the last place team picking 4th. Sure not near as much incentive to tank when there's only a slim chance u pick top 3.
Somebody has to be last. They need to get rid of the blatent tanking that a few teams are doing this yr and edm does every yr |

Its hard to say if that will work in this league as the quality of athletes are different as well as its a different sport. I'm not against trying it or anything because I really hate seeing teams compete to be the worst. Really? What message are they sending when even media outlets are watching and embracing the "tank" for McDavid. The biggest loser is the winner thanks for playing. There is always a few teams at the bottom problem is its always the same ones. They become the joke of the league. |

There's no guarantee they are franchise players. Daigle was dubbed with the franchise tag. Yashin as well |
