There's always a guy willing to take a chance on big, physical and right handed defensemen. He might have to take a haircut, but I doubt he's looking at a deal that could be buried in the AHL.

I actually think a second is a bit of an overpayment. I think at his absolute best, Schenn is a 4-5 guy, and that 4 is partner dependent.

I think hes one guy we should definitely keep. He's still just a baby. Already played a ton of NHL games. I think some of his better hockey is still ahead of him.

I worry about the hockey smarts angle. He's not especially good at recovery, and making bad reads often puts him in a bad position. A guy who is faster can outskate mistakes, Luke can't.
