So upcoming games against Nashville and Washington .... makes sense to insiert # 36 back in the line up. Neither of those teams have PP weapons that will hurt us when he takes a dumb penalty or two. #sarcasm

What's the over/under on seconds into his first shift that he sits in the box?

Its been a few years already, and I still can't see the name Shea Weber in print and not get angry.

Would you consider him technically a Flyer for 6 days?

I don't know. Just can't seem to get behind the idea of breaking up 28/93. Yes they haven't been huge lately but they are such a vital reason why the Flyers are even in a spot fighting for their playoff life.

They are super stars in this league and I think it would have only been a matter of time until they each got it together and started producing again.

"Berube said that Rinaldo, who completed an eight-game NHL suspension and then sat out the last two games as a healthy scratch, has an opportunity to use his speed and aggressiveness against Nashville. The coach added, however, that Rinaldo has to understand that hits like the one on Kris Letang that got him suspended are not good hockey plays and can't happen"

When Berube spews this nonsense, does anyone laugh, or question this garbage?

The only reason why Rinaldo is playing is because Lecavalier is a complete waste of time. A one dimensional offensive player who has now gone a mind numbing 19 consecutive games without a goal.

The amount of dead wood on this roster is stupefying.

What do you want him to say?

"Yeah Vinny isn't really good so I have to play this train wreck Rinaldo."

I've always wanted to see what the lines look with without G and Jake on the same one. Not sure how it will pan out but at least Berube is trying something new for a change

I don't blame him for being upset. I also don't blame Berube for scratching him.

If Vinny should be upset with anybody, it's himself. Coffee is for closers.

why is luke being scratched? if there is a deal to be made right now in regards to moving a dman, hextall has no reason to be stalling (unless just flat out bad offers). make the deal sonny and be done with it.

if the ducks want grossman in anyway you get it done now. the logjam needs to be reduced.

Actually waiting could be beneficial. As of a few days ago, Petry and Emelin were both healthy and now they're both injured. Teams are running out of options for deadline buys and that will drive up the price for the sellers, hopefully.

Of course, there is a risk involved in waiting since a defenseman you might be willing to sell could also just get injured. But thats the gamble

Why do it now?

Right now no one has really done anything significant other then WPG. Once a playoff team does something then you'll get the other teams to react. If LA gets Yandle then maybe that puts pressure on another team like Anaheim to make a deal. But now Yandle is gone so you might have to make a better offer to get another damn before he is gone then you previously would have.

I'm actually surprised more western teams haven't made any moves yet after Nashville got Franson and Santorelli. Nashville is maybe still a bit weak at center compared to the rest of the west but their defense and goaltending is pretty much as good as you can get.

And even more for Vinny: He's been held pointless in 16 of those 19 games

all good points. That's the chance you take. just because other teams haven't moved doesn't mean you wait though.

Though realistically looking at the flyers dman who much more is their value going to really increase? I don't think much if any at all. None of the flyers guys are difference makers where a GM will overpay imo. At least overpay enough to make you want to wait. Is there a chance they could get desperate sure. I would just rather do the deal now if that is what hextalls intention is; more things could go wrong than right with the flyers luck!!!!

I am also slightly convinced that hextall doesn't want to move Coburn or grossman.

Meaning his 4 suspensions in the AHL, plus the fine for the late hit on Jacob Josefson, the two games he received for the charge on Jonathan Ericsson, and the four games he sat for the head ringer he laid on Chad Ruhwedel last year shouldn't have taught him anything?
