Not sure Kassian can be moved on his own but you never know. I think JB won't get burned on Kassian if he is traded. If we are getting rid of a problem like Kass we may have to take one on in the trade coming back and that would suck. Visions of Lack/Kassian for Eriksson would be an example where we get rid of Kassian's off ice bulls**t and attitude and laziness but have to take on Eriksson's concussion issues...not sure that would help us long term...

Slick Willie is trying to get the best out of kassian and has decided the tough love approach is what's gonna work.

So far so good. Kassian has been getting by until now by coasting through the rep teams and junior teams on size and flashing his skill against inferior competition, but now his bad habits and laziness aren't gonna fly. He'll either be a great player for us, or a guy who just never lived up to potential...

Benning won't get fleeced if he trades him.

I don't have any idea if WD's strategy with kassian is benefiting him or hindering him. Is kassian finally getting it and can produce on a regular basis or is being benched lighting that fire in kassian? Maybe if WD played kassian on a regular basis he would fall into his lazy ways again.

It's a head scratcher.

Regardless its a good trade. If kassian is worth a 2nd, Ericcson is worth a 1st +. Some contender would take him for his 2 way game. Regardless if LE fits in long term, from an asset management standpoint, that deal is a no brainer
