Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks Game Review: Close But No Cigar, Burrows Now Sidelined Despite the first career two-goal game from Zack Kassian, the Vancouver Canucks couldn't rally. They dropped a 4-2 decision to Cory Schneider and the New Jersey Devils on Friday night at Prudential Center.

Zack (frank)ing Kassian, he's actually starting to become one of my favs now. Like seriously how many guys in the league have had a stretch like this?

1 Assist, 2 PIM, 3 Hits
Out - Healthy Scratch
Out - Healthy Scratch
1 Goal, 5 PIM, 1 Hit
1 Goal, 1 Hit
1 Goal
2 Assists, 2 Hits
0 Points, 4 Hits
0 Points, 2 Hits
Out - Healthy Scratch
2 Goals

Totals
8 GP
5 Goals
3 Assists
8 Points
7 PIM
13 Hits

Those are his last 8 games played with 3 healthy scratches sandwiched in between. Basically he starts dominating everytime he gets back into the lineup...this is hilarious.

Lets see what he brings over the course of the next two-three games before we once again crown him as the second coming.

He could very easily post a few points next game or tail off into defensive lapses, sub par effort and the pressbox.

It may take him a few weeks to get the next 2-3 games.

WD Played Kassian because he had to, and showcased him as well. Benning seems to value him and his skillset, Coaches don't seem to think the same way.

I'm starting to think the same to be honest. Hopefully can convince WD with his play like Horvat did.

Miller will be in but for Kass it all depends on whether Benning's phone is ringing right now. If a pending offer is on the table Benning likes chances are we will see Kass scratched a few more times before TDL.

If Kass continues to play to his potential without the laziness all this crap should go away hopefully.

He still a bit of a head-case and I think he always will be, if they trade him, they'd better get a good return!

Not sure Kassian can be moved on his own but you never know. I think JB won't get burned on Kassian if he is traded. If we are getting rid of a problem like Kass we may have to take one on in the trade coming back and that would suck. Visions of Lack/Kassian for Eriksson would be an example where we get rid of Kassian's off ice bulls**t and attitude and laziness but have to take on Eriksson's concussion issues...not sure that would help us long term...
