Kunitz ain't going anywhere. Would be interested in Silfverberg or Maroon? Not bad guys to have as options. (not on a Kunitz deal) - Barnaby36
I'm not that high on Silfverberg. Maroon I will admit I don't know a lot about. |

Just saw the stats..
Sid's line 8 pts +2 15 shots
Geno's line 7 pts +10 17 shots... |
|
|
|
So the one powerplay goal that Sutter scored... did that remain a power play goal? |

The top 6 was fine. Forward depth still didn't show anything. |

Malkin's line with PH was a defensive liability, too. |

No thanks, DSP is one of the guys I would have wanted from Anaheim. Now that he is gone, not much I want from them that would come back in a Kunitz deal. - PensFan1103
Dont mean to be repetitive...but Maroon/Silfverberg/Etem/Beleskey + would be a good start...Gives us a little cap flexibility as well. |

Wrangler Sport Unlimited. 2D, V6. 2013 model. I needed a vehicle I could use in town but could also ford a medium stream. If you know how to do some basic maintenance, go for it.
Edit: Oh, and it's loud as hell on the highway even with the hard top on the back. I have to really crank the volume to hear stick noises during the game. |

Yeah, I know there are other guys there who could provide some value. All of those guys you mentioned are good plus Palmieri, but they are all also due raises next year, so the cap savings wouldn't be that big after this year. I just thought if we could get one of them plus DSP that would be good. Now we would probably get one of those guys only + something else, but not much else would be too significant. So I would rather just keep Kunitz. |

I'm not worried about the sound, I drive 50 round trip highway miles to work a day driving a tuned 2013 genesis coupe. It has a turbo back exhaust, which is illegal as (frank), but they don't test emissions in Ohio. The Willy's edition comes with 33 inch mud tires so I'm sure it will be even louder than a normal Jeep as well. |

A bigger deal may be in order this summer of both teams have poor playoff performances. They may want to add some younger defensive depth for one of those wingers and add experience tot their top... what would Kunitz be classified as by then? Their Top Nine? Dupuis' situation will be clearer then as well.
MAF has been (frank)ing stellar this season. No doubt he has allowed the Penguins to be a dismal team and still have 10 points above the average NHL team. Pittsburgh plays a lot of one period hockey games and MAF has answered the bell. Still, if he blows the playoffs like he has all of those other times, perhaps a deal around John Gibson and Etem/Palmieri/Rakell can be hammered out.
Pittsburgh will need a scathe if they go out early, and that's extremely likely. The real optimists who post here at minimum throw out combinations with changes to three lines and move four+ players from the forward roster.
Then again, Fowler, Lindholm, and Vatanen are all <24 and have a pretty strong supporting cast. Maybe there's no deal to be had after all since they have what I wish the Penguins had already in a great young NHL D core and depth at forward. |

MPG is going to kill you. You may want to look into a Subaru Outback or a diesel Volkswagen unless you're driving to Tahoe, Lake Berryessa, or Tomales Bay ever weekend and really do need to be sure you can get up a muddy hill carrying two double kayaks. |

If MAF collapses in the postseason again, the Penguins are completely and utterly screwed. He will be unmovable with that contract. I personally think he will continue playing well, but there is risk with that contract until he has another good postseason.

1. Lets trade all of our defensive prospects for bums.
2. Lets trade all of our bad roster players for their good roster players.
3. Penguins are going to lose in the first round
4. Crosby and Malkin suck
5. Beau Bennett is injury prone
6. Carolina fan thinks we are trading our whole team for Tlusty.
i think that should cover it. |

"If we trade for Winnik, Bergenheim, and Emerson Etem and then Duper comes back, the fourth line would be Spaling, Comeau, and Eager."
"Tlusty is good. I would like Tlusty. He is from the same area of the World as Jarome Jagr."
"Brandon Sutter is some kind of tapeworm who, perhaps by the influence of the moon, can score miraculous wrist shot goals like Valeri Kamensky but otherwise has the make and feel of Darby Hendrickson."
"Pittsburgh is super l33t. Super l33t. Just in a slump for a month. You don't have any faith. You're a bad man."
