We lack skill in a pretty serious way so he'll be a boost. That said, I hear you, it looks like he's top 6 or bust. - AlexF
Yup, this team needs an injection of speed and skill, hopefully Baertschi can turn the corner. |

ANA acquired Despres and Wiz for a bunch of plugs. That's not a bad boost to your D core in one afternoon. - AlexF
Yup. They win the TDL IMO. |

Man that Perron trade looks amazing for PIT right now considering some of the trades today |

I do think WD's system/coaching style is the polar opposite of what Hartley prefers so he should feel more comfortable here. |

If anything, picking up another LWer will make Kenins play even better. |

I'm just so (frank)ing happy we have something legitimate to talk about now. Well, for the next week or two.
Then hopefully the playoff run will be in full effect. If not, then back to proposing Bieksa trades.

That is one of the benefits of not waiting until the 11th hour to make a trade. Seems like a lot of GMs had a similar mindset this year. |

I think Kennins has only been playing LW because of the RW depth. Kassian, Vrbata, Hansen, Dorsett and Vey(kinda) are natural RWers. |

Someone posted on the oiler thread Sedin - Sedin - Baertschi
Jesus Christ. I told him only on the power play otherwise it might be the softest first line in the league. |

I think Kenins has cemented his place on this team for now. 10 points in 14 games, nobody can have expected that from him |

We'll exhaust the topic in an hour with this group.
Bieksa for Despres should have been our trade of the day. It's a much better return for PIT than Lovejoy and would have instantly rejuvenated our D core. Plus KB probably would have waived for PIT. |

If a younger Atkinson who scored 21 last year and is on pace for close to that again got 3.5 over 3, I hope that means Matthias could be resigned in that ballpark or lower. |

I still can't believe that Coburn trade. Don't know what Stevie was thinking |

Anything over 2.5mil is too much IMO |

Agreed. That trade might even be tied with the Despres trade for worse trade of the day. |

I could see 3 but would prefer 2.5, hard to tell as both Hansen/Higgins were signed at that figure during a different cap. |

Yeah, same deal as Higgins and Hansen without the NTCs |
