I thought it was Boinker who I remember saying Hodgson was the next Toews. It was you?
I don't feel so bad now. I only had him as a 2nd line C in my mind.
- boonerbuck
I think my words were... Kelser is a # 2 center could be a #1 on many other teams Cody will never be that good. I would take Kesler with all his BS before Cody. His skill set should have him playing top minutes but I dont think he will handle them long term. His defensive game sucks and is not NHL caliber. Wish him the best.
Edit: I did however feel he could eventually be a #2 center if he had a better defensive game. |

Sven Baertchi (I don't know how the (frank) you spell it) is an excellent pick up. Under a guy like WD who is known for moulding young talent. I think this trade is amazing. It's so odd to see our organization that does nothing but pick up vets at the deadline do a complete 180 and go after young guys since the beginning of the year.
Refreshing. - vancity787
Moj on the 1040 received a text from Ryan Johansen who use to play in Portland with Baerschi and he said Canucks just robbed the Flames. What I have seen of SB I really like. |

Gillis also had bridges burned before he even took the job. Now Benning is making trades with Burke which will pay off in franchise players eventually.

Did Moj text back asking if VAN could rob CBJ into getting Johansen? |

so benning and snow have made two trades now, and neither one is exciting to fans of either organization.
well, Pedan I liked. this trade today is kinda boring for each of us.
Conacher is speedy but he reminds me of a theo fleury or cliff ronning but with absolutely no hands. I imagine Jeffreys is equally uninspiring.
good day canucks fans, maybe we can make another boring trade at the draft |

I can't listen to the morning show on 1040 anymore. Pratt is a complete moron.

I worry he has the same mentality like Jensen that he's too good and deserves to be there instead of earning it. |

I'm not that high on the trade, to me it was a good value gamble to take but I wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't pan out. |

Exactly. And if Bezz is right about Willie Mitchell then he wasn't much of a leader either. |

Hell no, there were a few people who had him pegged as the next Linden of this franchise.
And I laughed when I saw people pencil in Mallet/Grenier/Lain/Corrado into future lineups. - Nucker101
I've been pretty impressed with Horvat so far this year. Seems like he's going to be a decent player for you guys as he gets stronger. Big kid, good effort level, decent hands.

actually in juniors I'm pretty sure Pedan was one of the leading scorers on defense on his team. He does have a rocket of a shot. I really liked it when we drafted him but he just didn't seem to progress. |

He's definitely blown away my expectations, I thought he'd get sent back after 9 games. Love his game, one of the strongest 19 Y/O players I've seen play in the NHL. |

Yeah, he's Latvian, but played pro hockey in Switzerland. Marc Crawford recommended signing him to the Canucks(his bro is our amateur scouting director). |
