Penguins lost!! Slackers!! Fire everyone!! Sid is a louse!!! Pouliot needs to be sent down - did you see how Landeskog undressed him like a rented mule??? ... OMFG, the Pens Twitter feed is a scary universe
I bet even if the Pens win the SC but in 5 games or more, many in the Pens fan base would be like "You didn't sweep! You suck!!" |

He only has 1 more point than Olli Maata. I don't think he cracks many top 6's. - all-pgh
Correct, but in 21 fewer career games. I see what you're saying, but I think that's a bit misleading. Beau isn't playing up to par right now for sure but I think it's largely to do with him not being used correctly coupled with "secondhand Sutter suck". Also he had the lowest TOI for any skater on our team last night, which isn't out of the ordinary and doesn't cater to his style of play. |

I think people are confusing what am saying, Beau isn't playing well. But he is a top 6 talent, he does not have the attributes to play anywhere else in any line up. Either he plays top 6 or he doesn't play. - nbartley9
Like I've said before, he needs sent back down to the AHL. He's not going to play our top 6 anytime soon and having him on the 4th is a waste. He needs the playing time on the top line in Wilkes. |

I agree, he is not built for the bottom line. He will just ruin his body even more trying to dish out checks (sarcasm). One-two more hits on the boards like last night and he might be done for the season. |

Put him on the top line with Kap and Sundqvist next year. Let them all grow and dominate. I would rather he have ~20 minutes a game in the AHL on the top line rather than the lowest TOI on the 4th. |

Beau is playing fine. Lappiere is just a bad hockey player. He has brought nothing to the table since being traded for, not even his trademark physicality. Spaling is a great defensively responsible center, but he isn't a great finisher. Beau needs to be placed on the Malkin right wing and left there.
Scuderi, well, he sucks. Flat out sucks. On the PK, against everyone now, he is playing too far back. He is giving them way to much time and space to generate something.
Say what you want about Pouliot, but how many of our defenders stop Landeskog while semi flatfooted on that play? Basically the only one is Letang.
Cole has a great ability to time the zone entry and his gap control is great. Physical down low and quick first pass. Good bottom pairing guy to have.
Downie and Sutter should be with Lappiere, Winnik should be with Comeau and Spaling for the next game.
Oh, and if you want Adams back in the game to replace someone, it's Lappiere and his non-existant game. |

Yeah and bring up Rust or Wilson unless we want to give our PK some more practice then bring up Farnham |

As much as it pains me, I would rather have Adams in BB's spot. If we're talking best case scenario, give me Rust or give Wilson another look. His last one was a premature look and just bad luck. |

THIS!!! He also seems like a bad teammate and a complete pu$$. The only thing he does well is run his grin ... nothing else. He doesn't pass - ever. When he tries to pass it is usually to an opponent. He doesn't stick up for anyone. Not once. |

Comeau is a 3rd liner, playing a 2nd line role effectively, but that doesn't take away the fact that he is a 3rd liner. - nbartley9
Hmmm where have I seen that before.... |

I agreed with most of that expect the Pouliot part. He looked more like a forward on that play trying to play the puck abd not the man. |

No, he is a weasel and always will be a weasel. He is easily replaceable and frankly a line of Spaling Goc Bennett would have been a puck possession wet dream. |

His gap control is better than his open ice ability to take the body, I will give you that. But a good system and cycle will drastically limit those types of chances. I wouldn't press box him because of one bad play in a game full of turds. |

I was referring to this season in which Maata has played 10 fewer games. |

I'm not saying bench him for 1 bad play. But he does have holes in his game that he needs to work on. A little more time in the AHL wouldn't be the worst thing for him |

I think Beau can be sent down because he's on his ELC and has played less than 160 pro games |

I wouldn't be opposed, but I think he is a better option than Scuderi. We will see. |

He might be just a bit burned out. It's a huge step up to the big plate to put in ~20 mins/game against the big boys your first year up. That learning curve is way sharp. |

I'd rest Pouliot throughout the remainder of the season and play him here and there so he stays warm, but like I said on the first page of this thread, he should not be sitting come playoff time unless he shows he can't handle his marbles. |

It is, I think a decrease in minutes down the stretch and some time in advantageous situations would do him good. Put him out there for 2nd power play time and try to get his Ozone starts in the 60%range. Treat him like Boston did Krug for his rookie playoff run. He can provide a serious spark. |

And I get attacked the other day for saying scuderi is not a Pk "specialist". |
