So Phillip Rivers won't sign a new deal with the Chargers.
- SABRES 89

Chargers came out and said they won't trade him. Maybe we land him in FA next year, if anything.

He probably retires after he wins the Superbowl this year with Buffalo.

I hope Domingue shuts out the Avs tonight. It's borderline insulting that everyone talks about the Sabres tanking when we play backup goalies no one has ever heard of every game and Arizona benches their starter in one of the only games they have left that they could legitimately win.

He mentioned he doesn't want to play in L.A. if they merge stadiums.

Come on, that's being hypocritical, we traded both our starters for next to nothing.

I said something along the lines of this but it was more like teams are intentionally (frank)ing us over because they fear a Buffalo market with a strong team and a superstar player. Its pretty much blatantly obvious that teams are doing this on purpose as a shaft to us for being open about "tanking" all year.

I completely agree, its a (frank)ing joke.

Why don't you file a petition, it's really not a big deal. We are rebuilding, if that means people are gonna say poop about us tanking then frank them. They are just jealous. It is what it is you can't be mad Arizona is better at sucking.

Teams fighting for the playoffs are not trying to loose to us. You have to start your backup X amount of times. If I was a coach, you bet your ass I'm doing it vs a team that is as historically bad as the sabres are.

Traded two UFA goalies for draft picks and young players under contract is not next to nothing.

Teams fighting for the playoffs start their 3rd string goalie(s)?

Yea, when their main goalie is hurt. And you've been rolling your backup for so many games, they'll start their 3rd string. Hence what the Rangers and bruins did. Doesn't look like Rask is starting tonight either.

But you're right, there is probably some huge conspiracy against the sabres finishing last.

We basically let them walk for nothing, aka 3rd round picks. People are complaining that teams are jealous of what the sabres are doing, yet this board is getting mad *cough* jealous *cough* when the yotes are trying to tank now. It's hypocritical and redicioulous.

cmon man.
this isn't whats happening. some of you guys are getting abit too conspiratorial.

the sabres are bad, teams need to rest their starter. coach looks at schedule and tries to plan it so the backup plays buffalo.
playoff team feels they can still win with backup in net.
this is nothing out of the ordinary. its more the rule than the exception actually.
its happening less and less, but the oilers have often got the backup. and still get smoked

Facts are facts. Coyotes have faced the starter in 15 of their last 16 while the Sabres get the Kinkades of the world.

Funny how that team coincidentally has our old GM sitting in a GM position, and sold off more(valuable) assets at the trade deadline. Our team is bad, but our goalies have been great this year, obviously as a team we have a strong goal-tending system and we didn't go trading our best D-Man to exploit it.

Hahaha, I love that our old GM has so much say into what Arizona is doing. People are going crazy on this board. It's been too long and cold of a winter in buffalo for some.

You don't think the assistant GM has some sway? Are you being purposely contrary or do you believe the nonsense you say?
