Nolan is trying to screw the GM he most likely can't stand and knows his days are numbered and is trying to put lipstick on this pig of a season and to salvage his coaching career in the NHL if possible.

None of these teams come close to blocking the # of shots the Sabres do. That is what is what is helping these damn goalies a tone too besides clogging up the middle of the ice in the d zone and the center ice area.

Dave Tippett on the other hand should be getting more flack for his teams consistently bad performances that he never seems to correct. Talent be damned, I'm tired of reading the same excuse for the yotes "they just aren't getting the loose pucks or rebounds in time blah blah" Tippett is a good coach and even with bad talent you can fix that by camping someone in front of the net or at least taking a different approach to a gameplan, but then again, he knows what hes doing and he KNOWS what he doing, so I don't see him trying to fix the problems that have 'plagued' this team over the last 20+ games.

I think besides effort and sometimes goaltending they are on the level of the Sabres with maybe more skill upfront because they get more shots but they don't finish either now. They do play in a stronger conference against better teams regularly so I think it's a bit of a wash. If the Sabres had a coach buying into the tank like the yotes it would be a bit easier. I didn't like Nolan before when he was with the Sabres and I detest him now.

eh, I'm just tired of the flak we're getting like what we're doing is any worse than Pit, Chi, TB, Wash, the list goes has done in the past. As I said above, Tippett is purposely not addressing the basic 101 issues that his team is making, which in my mind is just as despicable as a GM trying to tank. I mean how many times do you take the same turn in a maze that leads to a deadend before you realize you need to change your path?

I'd like to see an article talking about the yotes and how their team use the same gameplan day in and day out, which has led to them being so bad, yet nothign hass been done to fix it. Logically, even with less talented player, a failing strategy would have been at least addressed at this point, but when 1 or 2 is on the line, why fix whats working, or not working that is

If Nolan let's Hackett start 1 more game i'll be shocked.

I was just joking about that earlier I think we will destroy them, unless they get (un)lucky and Lindback has a bad night or a couple accidental deflections go in the net. The kids we have up are playing for not only their future with the team, but thier NHL life as they obvious don't want to be career AHLer's so I think the 1st period will be pretty intense for them
