Why would they do that? The kid in now, Louis Domingue, was probably bagging groceries yesterday so I'll bet we see him in net

It'd be fun

The Sabres are a better team then the Yotes all around, we just got started with our tank earlier or it wouldn't even be close.
- SABRES 89

They traded away two big players but they had 80+ pts last year. The Sabres have beaten teams with 1st string goalies 6 times I believe this year in regulation. The rest were against backups. The Sabres are getting balls out play from Phil (frank)ing Varone, Jerry' Damigo, Matt Freaking Ellis, Tim Shaller etc. They are getting outplayed every game and goalies making 35-45 saves a game. They aren't that good and on par with the Yotes. Problem is Yotes are where the Sabres were last year, they suck AND they don't care; a bad recipe for failure.

You nailed it. I alwasy said; young hungry kids fighting for future NHL time is far more dangerous than established NHL talent that is deflated and would rather have the season over with already.

So I work in Hamburg and yesterday one of the Sabres strength and conditioning coaches came in and we ended up talking for a half hour. I was shocked at how much info he told me. He said Nolan will be gone as soon as the season ends and went in depth about how he and Murray hate each other. He also said to expect to see Lindback the rest of the way because Nolan, as we suspect, is doing this all to stick it to Murray before he is gone. I just don't get it. Why the hell didn't Murray get rid of him?!!!!

I'm dreading the potential of becoming the next Washington capitals. Talented and a consistent playoff bound team, but just missing that one piece or two that always seems to get them bumped from the show. I hope that's not the case, but with talent we have and the cap money available, a generational talent could vault us to a high seed within a couple years

Because he's perfect for the tank. He's a terrible coach. If they got rid of him and put someone halfway competent we're probably not in this conversation to begin with. He can ride Lindback all he wants at the end of the day it's still a back up goalie in net.

No doubt he's very good just don't want another Dman. Without 2 generational talents this year Marner would be chasing that top spot. Need guys up front who can fill the net

Yeah and a coach who can motivate the (frank)ing Latvian team in a short tournament (Olympics). Well, it's not over yet our playoffs will be the two Yotes games.

He'd be chasing Hanifin. The next best thing to being incredibly deep at centre is being incredibly deep at defence.

I just hate watching his 1990's NJ Devils neutral zone trap he installs when we get the lead, which of course leads to more blocked shots and just trying to stifle the opponents approach. Sound strategy when a win is needed, but for a team with no hope, I'd prefer (not just for the tank) to see the kids allowed to try and display more of the talent, at least for those who have a little more in the wings instead of camping at the blueline

He can try all he wants the fatal flaw in his plan is he still has to depend on anders lindback to steal games. I don't like the chances of that over the next 12 games. Decent chance we finish the season with the same record over that span as Arizona, which would be enough.

If we all know this why don't local media members ask Nolan in his interviews " are you playing Lindback to spite Murray if so is that petty and is that what is best for the organization?"

That I can't answer. .. that's a tough one. I could see him playing another year of juniors. I'm just preparing for the worst here and to be let down. Everything is a step down from McEichel but Marner is a hell of a player. Christ I just don't want to go defense. Need some guys that have high end scoring ability.

While I think Strome is good. I feel like having McDavid in front of him may be of some help in sheltering him.

He probably didn't get rid of him because it would have added to the tank mentality/belief/myth/truth

I refuse to buy into this worst case scenario inferiority complex bullpoop this fan base seems to love.

Until they actually finish the draft lottery and hold a pick other than 1st or 2nd I'm not altering poop.

Something the yotes have not done 17 games which has led to 3 out of a possible 34 available points.

Nolan is doing what a coach does, find a way to win as are the players. They play to win, so it's tough to be made at them, maybe a little at nolan, but again, it floors me that someone like a competent coach in Dave Tippett has not been thrown under the bus for his obvious lack of altering a game plan that consistently fails. not having talent is one thing, but doing the same thing over and over again knowing it will fail game in and game out without at least trying to change it up is insanity (or genius from the tank perspective )

I will buy in. ....I see the sh!tstorm coming from a mile a away like a mirage in the desert. 3 pts in the last available 32 says it all.

12 more games of Ted Nolan and then he can go (frank) himself and cash his Sabres playchecks for the next two years for sitting on his ass.

Well I said it at the beginning of the season, Nolan won't let them tank. Nolan has a bunch of hungry players now and I was afraid of this happening after the trade deadline.
