Odds are strong one of those 3 wins the lottery regardless of the order in which they finish.

GR was talking about the year pitss got Mario. They called in a goalie Tremblay? played 4 games and 8.9GAA . Thats nuts.
- cabin

GR said how the Penguins sent their starter down and used the let's see what the kid has excuse to ensure the tank. We have noble Ted Nolan riding a hot goalie to spite our GM.

Cant come fast enough. I have never been more dis-interested in a hockey season.

I just hate the Pittsburgh argument, it might be one of the more (No offense to anyone) idiotic things I have heard. Your using the "Well Crosby only has one cup" to justify not getting the next Crosby.

Yet they ignore that Crosby makes that team what it is and is the best player in the NHL. Without Crosby they have no cups, I can say that with confidence.

Not that I need to elaborate on your point, but it's been an absolutely thrilling season for all of the wrong reasons. The product on the ice is bullcrap. This season is like tanking on NHL 15 to get the first overall pick and simming all the games to the draft. I want you guys to know that I did this last weekend. Not only was McDavid not seen as the 1st overall pick as well as the non-existence of Jack Eichel, but Arizona honestly had a worse record. The Sabres team I was using had two goalies with like a 57 overall rating and we came in 29th. It was (frank)ed up. I had to trade Grigorenko and my 1st to get the top overall. He's worth a lot in 15.

Just take comfort in the fact that this draft has like 6-7 amazing players at the head of it.
- TheSabresTaco

This has prob been batted around a few times but I'm not a 24-7'er, say Buff finishes in 28th and by some stroke of changing Buffalo back luck we win the lottery and get the #1 pick...would you see any scenario where we would try to trade with the #2 picking team?

Not to mention, the notion that Pittsburgh won't win another one within the next five years is pretty laughable as well.
- buffalofan19

Its like saying the Bills shouldn't be worried about drafting the next Andrew Luck is he becomes available because he hasn't won a Superbowl.

Would I? Personally, no. But the number 2 team will be Arizona or Edmonton. Arizona would have to send us OEL, Domi, Gormley and their 2nd overall for me to not hang up on them.

Edmonton, I'd want Hall, both firsts and Nurse.

The general consensus, from what I've red, seems to be...

I could see Arizona paying a high price but I don't think Edmonton would make a deal for McDavid.

I don't think they would either. Obviously this is a fantasy scenario. I wouldn't expect Edmonton to dismantle and give away their best future defenseman and their best player plus what will be Hanifin, or in this case, Eichel. Stop. REBUILDING.

He's not here so he can stay away. GMTM knows a ton more about scouting hockey talent but ROR's cap hit is well above value of his scoring + 2-way play + intangibles, IMO. If ROR ends up in Blue and Gold it won't kill me but I won't buy his jersey either.

New #Bills TE Charles Clay has caught 127 balls the past two seasons--the sixth-most among all tight ends since 2013.

The only way I'd be ok with Marner is if we get ROR on draft day as well. People were saying how small Reinhart was and how he needed to get bigger to play in the NHL. He is 2 inches taller and outweighs Marner by 35 lbs. At least with ROR we'd have one guy over 200 lbs. up the middle.
- Pierceme69

if the sabres have marner as bpa when they are on the clock, i say take him. murray will have plenty of size on the rest of the roster.

He seems to be slipping, I assume because he's in Finland while the kids in juniors are rising. He's a big kid who doesn't use his size to his advantage. Honestly I think this kid could be had from 10-15, but who the hell knows. Kids got skill and sense out the wazoo...definitely a good add, probably won't see him for two years though.

Agreed. Look at all of our wingers..Like...all of them. Even Ennis plays bigger than he is. Bailey, Fasching, Compher, Baptiste, Foligno, Kane, Girgenons if ya wanna throw him in there. A lot of size coming up in the future.

1. McDavid
2. Eichel
3. Hanifin
4. Marner
5. Strome
6. Barzal
7. Provorov
8. Werenski
9. Rantanen
10. Crouse

That would be my top 10. I think Crouse slides down to 10 and he could even fall to around 12-15. The top 5 are gonna be can't miss guys imo. We might not see another draft like this one for quite a while.
