I think they are pretty equally bad.

For most, missing out on mceichel is the tipping point. For me it would be this. If they finish 3rd, keep the pick and draft someone other than Hanifin just to make up for missing out on McEichel I will be incredibly upset.

Murray does not strike me as a guy that cares one iota about what others think, and as such, I can easily see him taking Hanifin with the 3rd pick, and going forward from there.

I finally caught up on the comments from last night/this morning and listened to Howard Simon melt down in what could be described as epic fashion.

I am taking the approach of a few in that we cannot control this thing. I am disappointed that we won, but it shouldn't have happened with how the Bruins played. Murray has explicitly said that he is not telling Nolan who to play and I doubt that changes now. Nolan will still do what he wants. It is completely out of our hands, and worrying about it is not going to help. All we can do is wait for this to play out. It's the longest rollercoaster I have ever been on, and I am most certainly ready for it to be over.

Edmonton and Arizona would have to go 3-12 at least for us to finish 30th if we go 4-8 it's doable.

These are the names Sabres fans can point to in 5 years when the team is still toiling in mediocrity if this season doesn't end up with a top 2 pick.

A small silver lining would be if Lindback actually turned into a #1 goalie for the team...however I believe his recent run is more a flash in the pan and that his play will eventually fade off...unfortunately not soon enough.

The Bruins looked pretty mediocre last night...can't wait to see them drop further in the future...they can keep the Sabres company along the bottom.

this should seal it. he was probably cooked unless he got the kids to play better, kept the games much more even, got some fire out of the other guys, and still coasted into the 30th spot. it would have been a tough order, if not impossible. it could be argued that hes done none of those, and constantly riding the hot goalie shows that hes not playing ball. what gm in their right mind would hire this guy? the pr opportunities are over.

Anyone else notice after the shootout how lifeless the players seemed. Like, "Oh sh!t, we weren't supposed to do that."

Here's to hoping we get Mceichel because otherwise the pissing contests and "I told you so's" will be horrible for years.
