He will pick Strome not Hanifin. - sippyd
Strome won the OHL scoring title today. |

ummmmm have you seen the roster? have you seen the goalies? No matter who they play, they play amazing. The offense is terrible. We have been last all season in scoring. Second last in goals against. We aren't good and we are losing at historic pace.
Can't blame anyone for this. GMTM did everything he could to make the team awful this year. He cant control the Yotes being this bad. - Smittyx36
Enroth and neuvrith stole so many games this season. They should of been gone right away. But Murray wanted to increase there value. Nolan kept playing the hot goalie,we should of been playing all the young goalies |

. We will split with Arizona. - Smittyx36
Wouldn't take that bet. They will be staring that rookie with 5 games under his belt and I'm sure they will be playing as if they were "tired from traveling" those games. Nolan is slavateing for those games b/c he knows it could be the knock out blow and will pull every strategy he used in Latvia to pull the W out |

And now Lindback is stealing games/points. So really, it probably didn't make a difference. For whatever reason, goaltending never ends up an issue here. |

People give Ted Nolan way too much credit. |

Strome has 124 points. Murray mentioned him when they asked him about the draft pick he likes besides McEichel.

Calm down, it's my opinion that's all. sure you can make trades not easy to do but you can. - SABRES 89
I wasn't jumping down your throat. I'm quite calm.
Just saying that the sky isn't falling if we don't get McEichel. Strome looks to be one hell of a player. He got another 6 points today. We still have some great looking prospects. Will it be harder to win the Cup without McEichel? Sure.
I'm confident that Murray takes Strome at 3 if we end up there. |

I try to give him no credit, but if I really wanted to stick it to TM, I would play the most slowing, defensive neutral zone trap strategy possible the moment we go up by 1 goal and try to ride it out until the end like hes done in the past |

I doubt they start Domingue. Smith will play. |

Nolan stinks and is a horrible coach. But horrible teams will win some games. It isnt about nolan doing anything except playing the hot goalie and not playing matt ellis and the other scrubs 10 to 15 min. He should rolling four lines and taking looks at the younger players |

That would seem very counter-tankeque, I mean I'm hoping for smith of course, but why in gods name would you do that against the second (or first) worst team in hockey? |

We have only won a game since the trade deadline. Just like Arizona. We have two loser points and they have one.
The series will be close and I feel confident saying we will lose one of them. |

Because no team wants to look like they are purposely tanking. |

To say not finishing 30th is grounds for firing Murray is the same logic as those who already are labeling Grigs a bust. Yes, Pegula is willing to spend the money but let's not all turn into Yankees fans |

I still think we finish 29th, Yotes 30th and we get Eichel because they are getting McDavid no matter where they end up. Might work out for us. Otherwise, we get Strome and I like that pick also. |

Grigorenko has not played one game on the top line since he has been a sabre. Nolan is a moron. Girgensons has flourished because he gets to play meaningful minutes and plays with better players. Even though people in the organization know that girgensons is lost on the ice because of TED Nolan having no system. That is exact words from the organization . How the hell do you extend TED Nolan,it is a joke and murray needs to explain, especially when everyone including nolan knows he is fired at end of year. How stupid is that. You have a lame duck coach who wants to stick it to you |

I'll admit, I will be disappointed, but I also like the Strome pick.
Kid has shown he can do it without McDavid for half the year.
Murray is a rink rat. I'm confident that whoever he picks will be a great one. This draft is very deep. |

Which game have they not been competitive recently? - Pierceme69
I can't comment on all the games like you can, but the games I've seen recent;y (not today) The players are trying, as all players do, but they are always out of position and never in a position to get the scrappy goals that bad teams rely on. Yes, talent wise they are pretty depleted, but when rebounds are given up and no one is in front to at least try and get them, that needs to be addressed by the coach, who doesnt seem to care to do so. I mean even bad teams will get lucky bounces and misdirected shots, but when players are simply not in a position for that to happen, it wont' happen.
I understand that they can't seem to score, but again if they are truly lack that much talent, then you need to try to find grittier ways to score, not try using the same gameplan as you were when all your talented players were still on the roster |
