Mmhmm. Good thing Stafford is a UFA. He has 4 goals and 4 assists in his last 6 games. |

Bogosian is out and wait till Kane starts scoring. Plus Winnipeg will no longer have Stafford, who has been decent for them. |

He's been more than decent. You could argue he has been more valuable than Myers. |

I only watched the 3rd period, but he didn't look all that special to me. Took another dumb penalty on Nuge. |

If Stafford had Kane's shoulder injury he would have sat out all season playing Guitar Hero. |

Yea. ... We've all seen Stafford go on those steaks. Eh... He'd come back to earth.
It's not as if Kane wasn't gutting it out all year with injuries.

I can't believe we're even discussing Stafford' s relevance. Besides we've seen this before from him. If I recall it was right around the time he was about to be paid last right.

Kane 2013 19 goals 41 points in 63 games.
Good absolutely, great not even close.
I really wish we got less of a risk here. |

Value able player ++++ is the problem.
It's almost laughable at this point to call Myers and Bogosian a wash.
Myers is playing better than Bogosian ever did in Winnipeg - sbroads24
Doesn't matter...
What matters is how Bogosian plays for US
Much more physical & better in his own end than Myers. And that means A LOT come playoff time
I wish Myers all the success in the World. Same to Stafford. I'll be cheering for the Jets in the playoffs...
But none of this chanter means anything anymore
The deal is done, and for good or bad, it is what it is.
I still like the deal,
But time will tell |

It was also coincidentally the last time he was on a true playoff team, but you can go with your narrative if you want.
Kane>>Stafford
But who's to say they don't resign him ? He could be a 2nd line 20 goal guy for 3-4 years.
So then it's a top 2 defensemen, plus a top 6 forward plus a 1st and 2 prospects. |

I won't deny that we've incurred some risk in this deal but so did Winnipeg. It had been a long time since the real Tyler Myers stood up here. He is for them and that's great. Both teams are supposed to get what they need in a trade. They aren't supposed to be one sided. We unfortunately have to wait until be next year to see if the our side does as well. I'm perfectly happy to have a defensive dman with snarl and some offensive ability in Bogo. Ristolainen is more than capable to bring the offense from the back end. Zadorov has that ability as well. |

While I agree Risto and Zadorov are capable, we have yet to see it consistently. Who's to say they won't have serious hiccups.
In the past calendar year we have seen
Myers gone
Ehrhoff bought out
McNabb gone
Pysyk have a mysterious illness
The blue line is looking a lot thinner right now |

You have to learn to "put the woman down."
Two Buddhist Monks were on a journey, one was a senior monk, the other a junior monk. During their journey they approached a raging river and on the river bank stood a young lady. She was clearly concerned about how she would get to the other side of the river without drowning.
The junior monk walked straight past her without giving it a thought and he crossed the river. The senior monk picked up the woman and carried her across the river. He placed her down, they parted ways with the woman and on they went with the journey.
As the journey went on, the senior monk could see some concern on the junior monk's mind, he asked what was wrong. The junior monk replied, "how could you carry her like that? You know we can't touch women, it's against our way of life". The senior monk answered, "I left the woman at the rivers edge a long way back, why are you still carrying her?"

Not according to some in here.
They'll mostly all be busts.
What a joke.
I can't wait to see how many people on here have strokes if we don't get one of the "saviors". |

So they haven't done it consistently(Risto & Zads) and what's to say they don't have hiccups. Sounds alot like describing Tyler Myers here
Risto/Zads
Bogosian/Gorges
Pysyk/McCabe
Ruhwedel
Brycen Martin also appears to be a solid prospect.
Doesn't scream the cupboard is bare. |
