They are building around Reinhart and the hopeful selection of McEichel.

Kane was a piece they obtained for pieces he no longer wanted if he ever wanted them at all.

I think Murray needs to hang onto to that 2nd 1st rounder. We don't need to blow our wad in 2 years.

Personally, I would have kept all three 1st round picks this year and found another way to make that Jets trade work without giving one of them up.

I tried to use the common sense viewpoint regarding Murray's mindset.

The perception among some seems to be that many already consider Murray a genius, which could not be further from the truth.

That said, I trust his opinion over mine every day of the week.

I watch hockey, I don't live hockey as guys like Murray do.

Personally, I would have kept all three 1st round picks this year and found another way to make that Jets trade work without giving one of them up.

A 1st was gonna be in the deal regardless of who traded for him and once the season was over the price of doing poker was going to increase as other team would've gotten involved.

Nobody knows how this deal plays out for at least 3 years from now.
