This was in response to a POST regarding the value of the players within the trade. I never pointed to Myers/Bogosian as a wash. I prefer Bogosian and his style here in Buffalo, but I feel Myers was traded for Evander Kane, Bogosian traded for the picks/prospects.

That just makes it worse. Armia, lemieux, and a 1st can get you something far better than Bogosian.

He's 1 year removed from a 70 point season. 2x cup winner

There is a reason why people want to get him, he is obtainable. UFA, nothing but money, anyone else of value is going to cost you assets.

For all you guys/gals on the verge of nervous breakdowns over the Sabres' finish, one player does not make a team.

We have the best prospect pool in the league 2 years running. And we're only going to add to that this summer (or we trade a pick(s) for a younger, established player(s) to surround our kids with).

We're in good shape, no matter what.

the team is playing better now with no talent.. when he has McEichel he will put them on the 4th line with hodgeson and Schaller and give MFE top line minutes

All those teams would be doing reasonably well without the one super star. They're just even better with them. We all know you can't build a team with one player. I think at this point we all have differentiating levels of faith that Murray can put together a phenomenal supporting cast for '15.
