We all do realize that we can do "nothing" to control the outcome of this. I'm not intending to preach to anyone. I want McEchel as much as anybody here. I've just decided to take a different approach that is working for me. We are all Sabres Fans, we are in this together. My favorite year was 05-06 when our team came out of the lock-out and took us on the most entertaining ride I had been on since Hasek's magic show. I love the Sabres as a fan, I personally believe that having The Pegulas own our team is more important than getting 1 or 2 this year. Would I love both, of course! This idea that we are cursed or people spouting off about the end of the world, I'm sorry but I can empathize but I choose to enjoy the building of this team instead of deciding tonight what are chances are in the next 10 years. If Buffalo Sports have taught you anything, it should be that the Unexpected happens every year at some level or another and that greatness grows slowly with smart management and ownership with their eyes on the prize. I believe Tim Murray and the Pegulas have done EVERYTHING they could to get to 30th, I am satisfied with that. If you choose not to be then that is your choice.

He actually didn't stop it from going in, he pushed it in the net even though it was already going in which negated it. He was falling to the ice, so maybe it wasn't intentional, but it looked pretty suspect.

This is what I'm talking about. Its hard for some fans to understand that while it would fit nicely into our lap during our rebuild, and yes, I do believe that these two generational players were in the thoughts of Murray as he was planning on this year, but no way does he know for sure if we would be able to finish 30th, based on statistics and Corsi #'s we really have been the worst team in the league. But we all know that the BEST team doesn't ALWAYS win the CUP or the LOMBARDI and the WORST teams don't ALWAYS pick first. Its sports. If it wasn't somewhat unpredictable we wouldn't watch.
