Hmm I'd love to see NYR Isles

I think the Isles give them a hell of a battle from watching them head to head this year.

- Marc D

That would probably be a lot of fun to watch. As long as the Pens and Bruins are playing golf, it's all good.

They have played them tough. But the Fishsticks are really limping in the playoffs. I think they had lost 6 straight home games recently.

But did you call Hexy and tell him? Cause if not...

True. Rags look like a run away freight train right now. I don't see any team in the East pushing them. Hope I'm wrong.
- PLindbergh31

MTL, with Price this time has a good chance. Boston is always scary in the playoffs as well. I think either of them two teams could compete with the Rags.

They're the favorite for sure, but hockey's a funny sport.

Do we know for sure the Flyer have the Blackhawks 54th pick in the 2nd round?
- ob18

Good question...

Agreed, just think, if by some miracle we win the lottery:

Raffl-Giroux-Voracek
Read-McDavid-Schenn
Laughton-Couturier-Simmonds
VDV-Bellemare-White

Works for me.

If we somehow end up with mcdavid wouldn't there be cap issues? I think first overall elc would be higher than normal isn't it?

If Barzal Provorov and Werenski are all available when the Flyers pick, who do you take?

Someone posted an article recently saying Werenski might have a higher upside then Hanifin. Hanifin may be the "safer" pick. I could see the Flyers going with the guy with higher potential.

My lazy 5-sec google search turned up zilch.

Whether it's their own or the Kevin Hayes pick, I'm guessing there won't be much difference. Even if it's their own, I'm still pulling for that 2016 2nd.

I think it's their other pick. 54 is the compensatory pick for Hayes going to NYR. I don't think a compensatory pick can be traded.

Price has been stellar this year, the thing is the reason the Habs lost to the Rags last year wasn't goaltending. They couldn't score any goals. We'll see what happens.

Yes it is. The favorite doesn't always win. See Kentucky...

I would like to see Timonen win, so i will be rooting for Chicago. They haven't looked very good but hopefully the playoffs will wake them up.

I'd like to see someone pull a Krieder kamikaze except into Lundqvist.
See how they like it when the tables are turned around.

I know they look bad vs Flyers but if the Pens get their D guys back they could win the east too. Kind of a long shot right now c/w Rags and Habs.

ELC's are capped, as are ELC bonuses. Order of selection makes no difference.

I agree, although all three of them are great prospects.

Provorov could be the Russian version of Suter (who went 7th overall in 2003).

You don't know what you are missing. It's great. Even though my bracket is a paper airplane by the weekend in round 1. I had Iowa St getting to the Championship game, they were the second team eliminated from the Tourney.
