Brayden Schenn is the NHL's 2nd star of the week. Despite all the scapegoating this year, he's silently put up career highs in points and assists with a few games still left to play. It'd be cool if he could break 50 points for the first time this year (he's currently at 45).

What is Backes' injury history? Does he have a concussion history?
- johndewar

Backes has only missed a handful of games in his career.

Those 50 points are about as clutch as Vinny's 20 goals were last year.

It's like Bonbby Abreu. When you're down 8-2 with 1 out in the 9th, you can count on him for a solo home run.

Yeah, even a small step forward is a step forward. He's still the team's 2C of the future, IMO.

idk about that but his offensive game is definitely moving forward. I'd prefer to see him make it work as a winger, though.

You'd think he was pulling a Cody Hodgson or something... with the way people are piling on him.

Hard to say.. he's pitching to prove something, so I think he'll do well. I think it's one of those games though where he doesn't get any run support.

We'll see. I have 0 hope for this season. Amaro has destroyed the roster since he took over, and hasn't really done anything to turn it around yet... First step in turning it around, is to fire Amaro..

And Coots is only six away from a career high in points, after already setting a career high in goals.

I think the middle ground would be each team gets 1-2 exceptions.
- funmaster18

One exception per team, and only for 19 year olds is as big of a change as I would make.

I know, it's a curse.

But seriously, the only detail I ever heard was Hextall at the press conference saying, "It's for more than this year."
