It's even better than laying out weber since it's g laying out Crosby. - benjichronic
ah thank you for making me feel better. ive been pretty mopey today, but it helps knowing that this city still respects crosby enough to hold up that sequence of events as if it was a cup |

The Flyers are getting Eichel and OEL, while giving up 5 1st rounders, the Shcenns, Simmonds, (not G, because he's going to stop producing in 2 years), Grossmann, Couturier, and a soggy hot dog bun.
...sumthin like that...

I enjoy watching when some of the pro athletes play for charity tournies and stuff.. the ones that aren't really that good. Makes me feel better about my game.. But it's fun just watching them have fun, laugh, and do it for a good cause. |

These guys make a ton of $ and live that life style ....and then $ stops. That's tough to handle.....that is a shock to the system.... not only the cash , but the change to everything these kids have ever known. With all the $ that is produced in Pro sports I hope one day that a focus is placed on life after the playing days are over. Far too, too many sad stories. - landros 2
The concern for these guys is head injury causing depression or other mood/psychological disorders and substance abuse related to pain management that bleeds over into real life. |

I don't think what I posted was much different. If it was taken in a different manner then that's not what I originally intended. My bad.
What it comes down to is Hextall and the new coaching staff making a call. Scratching Vinny and playing him every 4th game(if that) isn't working for anyone. If he tells him " hey, were going to honor the contract and pay you but were moving on down on the ice." then what I was getting at is that Vinny and his agent really do have to consider walking away early if he wants to play elsewhere. No one would be touching his deal as is and if Hextall just lays it out that he's getting no ice time here than what else can Vinny do but definitively make a choice, grin and bear it here for the money or walk away early for a chance to play one or two more years elsewhere. - hereticpride
Not that it's any of my business but last night I took your side on a subject but now it's time for me to take MJL's side.
It isn't Vinny fault he took what was offered by the Philadelphia Flyers. It's the Philadelphia Flyers fault for offering what they did to Vinny. Clearly in the beginning they wanted Vinny. Clearly (like many) the Flyers thought Vinny would be good enough to honor his contract. Right now things haven't worked out. In my personal opinion, I think Vinny has gone beyond the call of duty last summer to remove himself from this situation. Vinny and his agent have spoke to other teams to see if there would be any takers (As far as we know), when it really should be up to the Flyers to find a trade a partner. Now there is odd speculation that Vinny should do the Flyers a solid at age 34 by shortening his career and retire early. I don't know how anyone can suggest with a straight face. |
