I think this will be how the top 8 goes : McDavid, Eichel, Strome, Marner, Hanifin, Provorov, Barzal, Crouse

Question: Would you straight up trade Claude Giroux for 6 1st round picks?

The only assumption on the team is that, by the 5th 1st rounder, if they are currently a playoff contender, they will be a top 10 pick. If they are currently a top 10 pick, they will be a playoff contender by that time.

Yes.

No questions asked.

And I (frank)ing love Claude Giroux.

As long as we don't go Crouse I will be thrilled with whoever they get out of the top 12 prospects.

Connor McDavid, Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, Ryan Nuggent-Hopkins, Darnell Nurse, Nail Yakupov and Justin Schultz. If our plan is to be patient for 2 to 3 seasons, what's their plan?

Acorrding to a report from Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet the Edmonton Oilers have hired former Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli to be a member of their front office. While there has been no official confirmation of what role Chiarelli will be taking on, rumors suggest he will be taking over as President of Hockey Operations.

Yeah, they went pretty brain dead there, I've never seen anything like this from them before. Getting sucked into scrums, unnecessary icings, the Coach laughing with teammates during commercial breaks. A total lack of focus by the entire bench.
