Great run by the Flames, but IMO it ends here. Ducks in 5. |

Get Gibson a start to "shake some rust off"??
This is not the regular season. In the playoffs every game matters. It'd be more beneficial to get him some work in the last 5 or 10 minutes of an out of reach game e.g. Kari Ramo in Game 2
I also do not agree with the revolving door on defense. Chemistry and consitency are key around playoff time. Teams that work well as a cohesive unit usually have the most success.
Nice read though. |

I would keep Silf with Kesler. Showed chemistry in round 1. No need to separate them now. |

Sekac from the bleachers to the top line, off a sweep? craziness, not going to happen. |

I wouldn't make any roster changes at this point. Maybe Wiz, but even then... I do not see why the team would make any sort of change other than Thompson because he is the team's 4C. |

I personally want to see both Wiz and Sekac this series, but I dont see any changes until Calgary forces them. Bruce is a players coach, he will stick with what works until it doesnt work. Expect to see same lineup. Blow a game, and in come Sekac/Fleischman and possibly Wiz.

Andersen isn't going to play every game. Gibson has to play sometime. If the opportunity is there, BB should give Freddie a rest and let Gibson tale some "live fire." |

JS has to be on the 2nd line w/ Kes - don't make that mistake and put him on the 3rd he needs more minutes not less - TF deserves center minutes but where is the question - if NT is slow to come back have him center the 4th line.. where he created nice chances against the peg - he is gifted in the middle a revelation to me for sure - cgy to speedy for JW to be inserted on the D - SD played outstanding against the peg - no way he comes out - Don't overthink this BB - your lineup was solid against the peg -- |

I think Bruce knows what line up "should" work against Calgary based off of the team's performance in the regular series. I think the line up tomorrow night will indicate it. I don't want him to over-coach the situation, though. Go with the gut feeling and change when necessary. |

I think Wiz And Sekac will be back in the line up because of the speed that Calgary plays to. However, throwing Gibson in there just to get some playing time is crazy. Gibson will play only if he needs to play ie. Injury or if Anaheim is getting waxed. |

Good blog. I don't think this will be a sweep, and should probably go at least 6 games. They played fairly evenly during the regular season, and the young legs should help Calgary steal a game or two during the 3rd.
Any reason why Wiz drew out of the first round, but will be in the lineup to start the 2nd rd! |

Yeah, it'll be a weird feeling tonight because the Flames are my second favorite team. Looking forward to a great series! |
