Shattenkirk doesn't have the same physical presence as buff though. No doubt the 7 will probably be a good nhler but time your rookies develop into good or great NHL players how old are your stars like giroux and voracek be? It would be almost like starting over again.

Buff is a FA after next season and he's not the missing piece between the Flyers and a Cup. The entire team lacks depth. They lack depth at forward and defense.

If they are moving that pick+Brayden Schenn, they will need a young player they can build with for the long term.
