All that sounds pretty encouraging about sanheim. I just hope and pray he can continue to develop properly. Also another small but good development step was the fact that he was able to adjust to the right side well. |

What would the Jets have to give up to get the Schenn brothers?

I actually think the Jets would be a perfect fit for Brayden Schenn, and have posted it a couple of times here. Not sure if you're resigning Frolik, but if you put Schenn between Ehlers and Frolik, or a comparable RW with maybe a little more size, I think he'd really succeed.
I like Joel Armia. He'd be a good fit for the team, though better if he played more on the LW. Maybe Armia and the rights to Burmistrov? Obviously you're not giving up Morrissey, though I'm sure Hextall would ask. |

I don't feel that they will be clustering up picks to move up in this draft. Sounds like we have enough needs (don't we know it) to keep the quantity versus quality. I do however expect some of our current roster to be gone. So as usual it's "who the hell knows" time.
Draft day can not get here soon enough! |

Joel Armia and Burmistrov for the Schenns? I would want at least one guaranteed NHLer if I was trading away two. |

The only move I can reasonably see them making would be to pair TB's 1st with a roster player to try and move up into the top 10-15.

I think Armia and Burmistrov have higher upside but higher risk. Armia to me is pretty comparable to B Schenn in terms of potential/probability to reach it. Burmistrov is more risky than Luke, but has a lot of upside. If you could win him over and get him to play to his potential, it would be a home run.
I'm thinking this way. The Flyers need to move out a Dman and B Schenn might not fit here given all of the centers we have. I'm much more willing to take a risk for these wto guys. Plus, you're clearing out a bunch of salary. |

I'd probably make that deal. Honestly, I think Luke is a 4/5 dman at best and perhaps just a generic 3rd pair guy. With that in mind, you are really only giving up B. Schenn for the 2 Jets. You add skill, youth and get some cap relief.

What would the Flyers have to add onto the Schenn's to get Trouba?
But for the Schenn's alone, maybe Adam Lowry and Chase De Leo. Maybe something around Petan. |

Burmistrov is not a sure bet to come back to the NHL and Armia couldn't crack Buffalo's line up. I wouldn't move the Schenns to free up cap space. I am not averse to moving them; I would just want more to do it. |

The Flyers currently have nine picks, including four in the top 70 and seven in the top 99. Additionally they will get to select at least once in every round: - bmeltzer
That sounds pretty sexy to me. |

Epic blog.
The part about how # of picks impacts strategy was particularly interesting. |
