I don't mind Pavelec and/or Hutchinson. I think they're missing a game breaker, a sniper, a true skill forward.

I miss Chris Pronger. He was my favourite player when it came time to deal with the media. He would have been great in Toronto.

You would rather Shanny, Hunter and Dubas over Nicholson, Chiarelli, Howson and MacT?

Interesting.

- Jeropotato

yes. Chiarelly built a cup winner in boston, but mangled the cap, and was way too loyal to vets, so much so that boston missed the playoffs and are no longer a contender.

the toronto group is inexperienced, but i don't see that as being worse than a group of guys that have failed time in a nd out again (mac T, lowe is still around, any coach)

Lol....not saying any of our guys are perfect....but with experience comes mistakes, and with mistakes comes learning. Any donk can point out errors in judgement in recent history and cite that as a reason a guy is weak at his job, especially when their guys haven't been around long enough to rack up any mistakes.

I'll tell you what though, MacT accomplished about as much in his short tenure as GM as Shanahan has in his short tenure as El Presidente......

Of course I'm sure you have some 'LeafsLogic' to out line how MacT was Terrible and Shanahan was great.

It's pretty hard to judge the Leafs management team yet but I am very happy with Shanny's hires. They certainly fit with his expressed goal of draft and develop. Dubas and Hunter know the CHL as well as any two guys on any team. He seems pretty set on hiring a GM that will fit with but not dominate that structure.
