Exactly... I feel the whole thing is quite stupid. Like I am an American that cheers for a Canadian team..So what. I never look and say yeah an American team won the Cup again.. Usually with only a couple of Americans on it anyway.. But it was nice to see bothe Ranger goals scored by Aeericans last night hahaha..

Any donk can point out errors in judgement in recent history and cite that as a reason a guy is weak at his job, especially when their guys haven't been around long enough to rack up any mistakes.

I'll tell you what though, MacT accomplished about as much in his short tenure as GM as Shanahan has in his short tenure as El Presidente......

Of course I'm sure you have some 'LeafsLogic' to out line how MacT was Terrible and Shanahan was great.

the leafs easily could have brought in an experienced team of recently fired guys, but they started fresh. they could still hire an experience gm, but i doubt it.

experienced is not always better than inexperienced. kevin lowe has a boatload of experience at all levels....

Who's defending Lowe? I understand replacing MacT with PC, but I would have been okay with giving MacT one more summer at least, with or without McDavid.

That is pretty easy to say after the fact when you have already won the McDavid lottery. The angst from your fanbase has exceeded even that of the Leafs' the last couple years.

Do you really think you would be OK having the same result next year. How do you think it would be significantly different (without McDavid).

Your management has been even worse than the Leafs the last 10 years. We don't even bother trying to defend the previous leafs management. We KNOW they wre idiots. It is interesting how you guys even bother to try to defend yours. Obviously, it is because of MacT's history as a player.

I have been in a bad mood for 2 weeks watching the Canadiens still in it. Seeing them lose is almost as good as the Leafs making the playoffs (if I could remember what that felt like).

The same goes for every other Canadian team, except maybe Calgary because I admired the way they play.
