Any see this;
Matt Larkin of The Hockey News: The Canadiens should target Maple Leafs winger Phil Kessel.
The Canadiens need more goal scorers to complement Max Pacioretty.
Return for Kessel? Using the Rick Nash trade as a comparable as he was of similar age had a similar contract (Kessel 6-years at $8 million and Nash have six at $7.8 million). If it were me, would start by asking for Jacob De La Rose, Zach Fucale and a 2015 1st round pick. The Leafs may start off higher and ask for Galchenyuk and a 1st. These returns may not fit cap wise for the Canadiens, but it may be easier to do if the Leafs took back P.A. Parenteau and his $4 million cap hit.

I doubt they give up Galchenyuk - senstroll
I personally wouldn't give up Galchenyuk for Kessel.
Wouldn't give out 2 firsts either....
I'd think about the De la Rose, Fucale and a first... even if I do like De la Rose quite alot.... he's solid for a 19 year old.
Kessel's offensive contribution would definetely be a big help but Therrien actually loves players who are not a complete liability in their own zone....
Once Therrien pulls his head out of his ass, Gally will be the #1C that they apparently don't have - TheThrill
once the habs pull their head out of their ass and fire Therrien they might have a chance.
Mirtle mentioned the other day, the habs time to go for it now with Pax, Subban and price all in thier prime. Kessel would be a good add imo and with a new coach, some good ones available they can be a contender
