that would be amazing
prefer if we can use our current roster players to secure another pic in the 6-10 range
keep #24
I am thinking Barzal goes 6 or 7 - senstroll
I have a feeling Crouse may get taken by Jersey. Then Provorov. If we could somehow persuade SJS to part with their first pick and have to "settle" for one of Barzal/Werenski then I'd be overjoyed |

I personally wouldn't give up Galchenyuk for Kessel.
Wouldn't give out 2 firsts either....
I'd think about the De la Rose, Fucale and a first... even if I do like De la Rose quite alot.... he's solid for a 19 year old.
Kessel's offensive contribution would definetely be a big help but Therrien actually loves players who are not a complete liability in their own zone.... - Scabeh
i have to think next season the habs if they added Kessel also...would be picking in the 20's
tbh 2 first round picks in the 25 range for Kessel is not great and I would pass |

Probably because another useless powerplay wouldn't have changed anything? - Scabeh

once the habs pull their head out of their ass and fire Therrien they might have a chance.
Mirtle mentioned the other day, the habs time to go for it now with Pax, Subban and price all in thier prime. Kessel would be a good add imo and with a new coach, some good ones available they can be a contender - senstroll
I don't think Therrien is the problem. Not at all.
They need to add one or two players who can have an impact offensively.
But you're right, Patches, Subban and Price are all in their prime but they also have alot of young players (Gallagher, Galchenyuk, De la Rose, Beaulieu) who should improve alot in the next 2 years.... Habs window is just beginning. |

MTL should bring in Bobby Boucher to change that. |

yes 5v5
Gardiner
Polak
Phaneuf
Gunnarson with StL was 40GF 35GA +5 - senstroll
I'd rather a D with a little less "skill" and some try hard than a guy with a touch more "skill" and scared of his own shadow who makes stupid plays with the puck constantly...what Polak lacks in skill he can bring in block shots and some punch face if needed. I just don't see what JG brings? He skates it into the other teams net and throws blind passes to nobody in front and in our end...wow...totally lost unless the other team is on a change...then he gets to skate it back into their end and throw the blind pass. It really is an ugly vicious cycle
but...GO LEAFS GO...again...I hope Gardiner makes me look like an idiot next year |

It could definitely work.. Kessel would have an immediate impact and losing De la Rose and Fucale doesn't hurt the Habs as much.. Still a young team with Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Pacioretty and Smith-Pelley up front. |

Those players are not in the same league as your big 3, Galy is yet tbd
the window is now
by early next season they will be
MP - 27
PK - 26
Price - 28

Time for Price to do better than the 0.895SV% he threw out against Tampa... |

meh, I don't think the Habs are anywhere close to icing a SC winning team.

Really? considering their play in the last two years, I'd say they're pretty close....
Just really need to add scoring to their lineup. |

Kessel for Galy and a first would be pretty sweet.
Having him in division helps us with our draft pick next year too
But not happening |

Tough to do...they are mid pack IMO once it comes to the playoffs...need scoring..but they are not very big either..so IMO..need to get a bit tougher ( bigger ) and more scoring...not the easiest.
Tough to win the cup when it seems they are waiting for Weise to be the hero most games.
* last year played TB without their #1 goalie..or they might have been early again.
Just my opinion though...they are years ahead of the Leafs if that helps lessen the pain |

seems different than other scouting reports, where his skating is a drawback and his two-way game is listed as a strength. |

Morning Leafers!
It will be interesting to see where Kessel and Phaneuf end up, and the return they bring. Any new rumours I don't know about these 2? |

Maybe he can't do anything well and scouts are just enamored with his mustache |
