Has Toronto planned the parade route yet, or have the realized this might actually be a bad thing for the rebuild?

I hear Buffalo ownership is mad since they predicted that with Babcock they were guaranteed to win the 10 cups straight. Strongest pipeline in the leauge and a plethora of top tier players already on the team. - Source: Garth's Corner

He's a great coach and the Leafs will eventually benefit from that.

i'm curious to see what he does with a rebuilding team................he's always coached teams that were full of allstars and future HOFers, it will be curious to see how he does when he has a team full of young, undeveloped players, who are surrounded by crap.

I'm quite sure he's gonna be good for the kids on the long run.

Leafs just can't expect to win now.

As far as matchups against the Habs? Babcock won't make a difference. It's not as if "he" was dominant against the habs

its a bad thing to have a guy that gets the best out of his players?
hiring the best coach in the league isnt a bad thing, spin it any way you like.

It's a very dark corner these days. No McDavy and now BabyCock, Garp has to be curled up in some shower stall felling violated.

You're right. There is ZERO value in instituting "the right way to play" for a group of developing prospects...we always have a parade route planned. PRIDE, Santa Claus and the like occur in Toronto every year...in the future when we are privileged enough to have the Leafs win a Cup the city will have no problem figuring out how to celebrate. We Leaf fans appreciate everyone's parade route concern though every time they do something other fan bases deem to be worthy of their envy.

It means he chose money over success... It will also show that the problem in Toronto isn't the coaching but the players. We can't blame him, maybe he wants to prove that he's the best coach and that his past success with the wings wasn't because the team was stacked with talent...

I'm not making it up..

Chempionat.com (via Habs Eyes On The Prize): recently claimed a source close to Montreal Canadiens winger Alex Galchenyuk said the restricted free agent is close to continuing his professional career in the KHL.

Everytime a Russian player becomes RFA rumours like this pops up. Nothing new. I don't believe in it one bit. The guy played his minor hockey in the states, and his junior hockey in Canada. If he wanted to take that route, he would have done it a long time ago. Also, I don't think the KHL is very tempting at the moment.
