Jesus Christ is Sportsnet ever blowing Cole Cassels. Before the OHL final I swear they hardly knew his name. Dominates McDavid for one series and he almost good enough to be a leaf prospect - Bieksa#3
Bieksa, Cassels, and Jensen to the Blue Jackets for Rychel and their 8th overall?

You're essentially proposing that we pay Malkin 15-16 mill per year for three years until the Sedins retire at which point he'll be like 33 anyway.
Trading the Sedins only works if you get futures; otherwise, I'd rather keep them. - Gullzy
The retaining salary makes no sense.

I'd love to have Malkin, but not at the expense of the Sedins, they each just make everyone else on the team that much better. Malkin would too, but he's only one guy and he'll be 29 in July. |

Lol, I had our first in place of Jensen, but got greedy. Even in hypotheticals I'm trying to rip ppl off lmao.
Gotta say this though, Cassels value might be the highest it's ever going to be right now. He's born and raised in Columbous (sp?), is coming off an OHL championship in which the media is spinning he "outplayed McDavid", and he might just win a memorial cup. If we can use him to move up into the top-10 of this draft, I wouldn't think twice.
He might have more value to the Jackets too considering his heritage. I don't think they've had a local player make their squad. |

Cassels lives in Columbus.i think you would need to add more.
Maybe Cassels Tanev or Edler Corrado first for Boone Jenner Rychel first
Doubt Edler would waive |

I thought the same when it was Chicago/LA last year.
I think that Chicago plays entertaining hockey and somehow they force other teams to play entertaining hockey. |

And Columbus is not trading their first round pick. They're so much better than their finish, so many injuries last year. That pick is a bit of a blessing for them. |

If both these series goes 7 with multiple OT games, the Finals are going to suck. No team is going to have any legs and it's going to be less about hockey and more about which goalie screws up the least and which team can get a bounce. |

I think if you can't get up for the Stanley Cup Final (no matter what you've been through in the play-offs thus far) then you shouldn't be playing hockey. There is no greater motivator than knowing you are only 4 wins away from the Holy Grail. But yah, all four teams are definitely giving their all so far - as always, a large aspect of the playoffs is about attrition. To that end, it's always hard to make any accurate predictions until we see which team enters the final with the fewest injuries - specifically to key players |

This is a nice sentiment, but we've seen it happen first hand. The 2011 Canucks were the best hockey team that I've ever had the pleasure of watching, but by the Finals they didn't have anything left. |
