Not wishing bad luck/injury on any players but I hope McCann gets an opportunity to play as well.

Running through Oliver/Osoyoos, I would suggest some of the old guard like Tinhorn Creek, Burrowing Owl and Fairview Cellars, as well as new (or newish) producers like Moon Curser, Stoneboat and Quinta Ferriera.

If you make it over to the Similkameen Valley, a bit west of Osoyoos, you have to try out Orofino, Clos du Soleil, Seven Stones and Herder.

Cody Franson would be an upgrade on our shyte defence, but as you suggest the $ and physicality for a guy that size isn't worth it, unless its for 4ish. We need big junkyard dog types on the back end.

As per Tyler Green yesterday on the 1040

Very impressed with Virtanen , brings energy. Doesn't see him being pulled any time soon , but is not guaranteed a spot neither. Needs to work on his conditioning. He plays hard for about 25 seconds at high level and tires. Needs to raise that to 40 seconds in the summer to play pro.

Jensen was pulled game five because he did not fit the format of the type of team Green was trying to dress. No high praises , nor any criticism . Like Jensen his comments were Vinilla .

Grenier . Successful year. He did everything asked and now may be ready to make the step up if he trains hard in the summer. His praising comment was about trust and hard work rewards. He said " I had him on the ice in the last minute of game7, that should tell you everything"

Shink, has had a great playoff. Working hard and happy with progress.

He also said , he has heard the comments about placing winning over development and said that can not be farther from the truth. My job is to teach they young players how to make the NHL. If they don't want to make the NHL I don't want them on my team, but I also want to win

Aside from Jensen, that's good news. Maybe he fits in another system. Package him up with some other spare parts and move on.

Franson would be an upgrade over Bieksa, but I am not sure I would want him. He is a trigger man and not much else.

He would be an equivalent to to a Shawn Matthias type Dman, a few games you would notice him and some games where is he? He had 7 goals with an impressive 29 assists. Weber had 11 goals and would be much cheaper.

With Franson I think it would be too much money for the shinny new toy that would be lost in the corner.

Tempting but no thanks

I think Canucks will work very hard with JV this summer.i think he has a 60/40 chance of playing 4 th line next year.

We will see if JB picks up some 4 th liners or is going to promote within

Franson isn't even worth 4 million, he's Garrison but without his positioning and his shot isn't that great. Other than size, he's no better than Weber. I'd rather keep Weber who'd be cheaper and probably score just as much.

That would be great if he won a job. I hope Vrbata gets moved, and whatever comes back goes to plug other holes.

We need big guys to clear the crease and stop other teams from taking too many liberties with our players. I like his size but pass unless it's for a serious hometown discount.

I've had a hardon for Grenier since last season.....he'd look good flanking the Sedins.....

Yep, why not. 39 Points in 68 games, not bad.

I don't see anyone on Canucks ready to step into first line RW. We have Burrows ,but that doesn't put us further ahead.

I do like Nuckers suggestion the other day, trade Vrbata for a first or high prospect and sign Ward as a stop gap.signing Ward only makes sense seeing he is grittier.

Kassian is a huge question mark and do you want to go through another year of distraction?

Move out some of our aging and start bringing in young guys.

Thanks, especially about the game time.

I've fixed that, but can't fix the BC Business link off my phone.

We're headed to the start line at Tinhorn Creek now, so we won't be able to get to Penticton before 1:00...

Might want to see your doctor, sounds like more than 4 hours.

Really want to see these guys in Utica have a shot too. Need guys to get a taste of the NHL before they are no longer waiver exempt and they are too valuable to expose to waivers, but management still isn't sure if they are ready for the big club.

Thanks Vantel for that Tyler green summary.

Still think there is something we don't know on Kassian, everyone's too nonchalant on his back. I also don't think he's one of WD's favorites. Vrbata, Kassian along with Bieksa and a goalie could all be in play.

I could see Canucks giving Grenier a shot at 2 RW. I am not sure he is ready to jump to the very top yet. I would give him the chance over Vrbata .

We know we are going to lose for the next few years so we need patience. Nucker slamming Sbisa all the time when in fact he is getting us a higher draft pick.

If they moved Bieksa, Higgins and a goalie, that would be a good off season.

Even if Higgins isn't moved, as long as he isn't top 6 by the end of next season, I'd be okay with that, meaning someone else is on the second line and hopefully second unit pp.

I wonder if the club will try to extend Hamhuis this summer?
