No, but Petry (at 27)sure is an upgrade over Bieksa (at 33).

No doubt, and I know Bieksa being moved seems like a forgone conclusion on here but I have my doubts about him willing to waive and Benning willing to sacrifice his meat and potatoes.

Don't think there's any way that Koekkoek is available. I think they'll look at him to replace Matt Carle in a year or two. Sustr still has so many question marks, too. DeAngelo and Koekkoek are the future building blocks on defense (with Hedman obviously already in the mix).

I'm not surprised he is an excellent prospect. Vancouver has enough guys who project to be middle the road players and need to find a way to acquire defense with bigger ceilings. Unfortunately mgmt seems more concerned with size now than potential later (Subban being the exception).

well if sbisa is worth 3.6M then bartkowski is gonna be a very happy guy this summer.

cant wait for the nucks to overpay some FA D like franson and then realize what an awful mistake it was like they did with garrison. lucky for him he got traded to a team that is actually a stanley cup contender.

Bartkowski seems redundant. It is good to have 10,000 NHL-ready defensemen (as Benning alluded to), but if none them are actually big minute guys...

Yeah, I know. It's alot of talk, but likely Bieksa will be here with all the other old guys holding onto what once was.

Yeah, but Garrison still isn't that top guy we need.

Hedman stirs the drink in TB, he is good. Watch him join the rush and create offense is something I miss, plus he's a big dude. I like that Nesterov kid as well.

TB might be a trading partner as they seem stacked on the back end, with talent and propects.

That's the crappy part, we'll never be that bad. Good enough to fight for a playoff spot, or a 5 - 14 draft pick, but not in 1st overall conversation.

Who? Edler, Bieksa, or Hamhuis or all 3?

I got nothing against Kesler as a player. The guy gave it all for the team. Not his fault he didn't play with anyone with decent skill on his line.

I'd rather Kesler win it all than have the hawks win. I want to see Kesler get the monster performances he can in beast mode.

except 50M doesnt count against the cap, therefore is irrelevant, especially when you factor in its from the franchise that is worth over a billion dollars.
