Delete that link before bieska3 sees it. Cassels ahead of McCann.

Interested to see if this year has more trade activity than years past. Many teams fell short of expectations |

Yes it is, thought i dont like how he went over taking luc bourdon over kopitar in 2005. It was the right draft pick and if he hadn't died in a horrible accident the last 10 years would have been much different for the team. |

Utica's Brandon DeFazio has been suspended 2 games for an Interference hit. He will miss Game 3 & 4.
Jared McCann get in maybe? |

With the cap barely going up and the FA class being weak, I agree. Teams will be looking for cheap veterans. Guys like hansen, higgins and for a team looking to get to the floor burrows and bieska. Teams might not be willing to trade too many 1st round picks but I think a lot of seconds and thirds will be traded around. There should be a lot of talent still in the second round. |

Read this magazine in the Air Canada lounge yesterday. Good read about the upcoming draft. Basically says it's not as deep as people are making it out to be beyond the 10th pick. However, there are A LOT of good defensemen in the first few rounds. |

I doubt that when 18 year olds are putting up a ppg and they are ranked in the 20s. |

That's the only thing I can think of. You can probably rule out trades to move up in the draft, not that it would have an immediate impact anyhow. |

I don't think Benning feels an urgency to make changes. I still don't understand how they expect to sell tickets based on the status quo? |

The team had an entertaining regular season, they won something like 48 games. I know we didn't have playoff success but you've gotta entertain folks for 41 regular season games too.
Benning and Linden changed the team quite a bit last year whether people want to acknowledge it or not. I want the changes to continue!!! Out with two or three more veteran players and bring in more youth, it's a process that takes time.
Unfortunately non-success in the playoffs is a foregone conclusion for the knowledgeable fan. Again...the process. |

Should keep the core till the TDL hopefully nearly secure a playoff spot then trade the lot of them. Go into the playoffs with a bunch of new players. Bo was good in the playoffs, maybe that will show that rookies can contribute. |
