We have 21, 31 and 51. We could use Lack so is there a Buff/Van trade in there? Since Benning is familiar with the Sabres and he is looking to acquire picks, maybe it's a good match?

What do you guys think about us moving one of our picks for Lack? I think we'll trade 21 to move up but it would mean 31 and 51 could be in play.

Lack looks to be finding his way and may have just solidified himself as a #1. I'd say he's worth a couple second round picks from Buffalo...but that's just me.

We'll take the 1st and the 2nd. Thank you.

Murray might possibly trade 21 for a goalie.

Since Benning wants 2nd round picks it could be a possibility for us to move 31 and 51.

Two 2nd rounder's put's them in a good position. Still a tough deal to do especially with Buffalo being a high draft seed.

Jesus....you guys are so quick to eat your young. From Hero to fo f**k himself in less than a year? Impressive. It's not like he Chris Pronger'd you guys.

Hero? Can't get there.

Sure he was an exceptional player for us for a period of time but his true colors shone through. If he would have left the team gracefully or respectfully it would have been easier to wish him well.

Instead he chose to show zero leadership qualities and chose to bail on the club when things were progressing into the 'retool'. Instead of sticking around with the club that did everything for him and help them get back to a winning atmosphere he just chose to bail at the first sign of something not going his way. Not the kind of person we need in the dressing room long term. He effectively (and Lou) divided the room at their will like a couple of arrogant asses with no regard for the consequences of the team. If you don't wanna be here...bye bye.

And what I meant with the loser comment is something I saw developing in Van over Kesler's career. As good as he was for us at times he just doesn't have the 'know' on winning. Guys like Toews and Kane have it in spades. If anything, Kesler knows how to lose with the best of them.

I appreciate what he accomplished here in Van I just wish he wasn't such a jackass. Might have been easier to cheer for the guy.

Plus I commented early in the season that if ANA didn't get a playoff goalie for their run and Getzlaf and Perry were somehow unable to show/groom Kesler their winning ways, they weren't going to make the cup final...and here we are.

I floated the idea of Lack and Hansen for 21 and 51

If you take the second rounder's Benning gave up for two prospects (Sven & Vey), it's not out of line to suggest a young NHL goalie coming into his prime would net a high second round pick which Buffalo has at 31.

I honestly don't know a lot about Hansen. Was he on your 3rd line? Upside? I'm just looking at his stats and saw a couple of 16 goal seasons for him.

31 will definitely be in play, especially if we can get a goalie like Lack.

Yeah he's a 3rd liner. Spend to burn. Solid in all 3 zones. Gets his goals from hard work and speed. Stone hands.

Really seems to be a wide variation on zacha. I've seen him any where's from 10-25.
