To be truthful if Miller and Marky are our goalies next year plus Higgins Burrows Sbisa and Bieksa , we will get our top 5 pick next year - VANTEL
Aren't you in favor of replacing burrows and Higgins with set is to and Mathias for almost the use money? Or has that phase passed |

Miller is here to stay my friend...accept it! - LeftCoaster
No doubt he is here to stay but he will be awful and slow |

He's a goalie, he only has to move six inches either way
Edit: five year plan....think five year plan!! |

Excellent! He can compliment our Defence then. |

Have to fill the cupboards, no second rounder's for two years in a row is not good for our development system. I would like to see JB pick up two of them, not one. - VanHockeyGuy
KB could get a 2nd plus.
Detroit
Montreal
I think we'll end up with a 2nd + for Lack. Be nice if we could end up with 2 or3_and stockpile some defense prospects
I'd love to get one of Were ski, Prokonov(sp) or Hanfin but me think that isn't happening.

I am thinking 5 year plan , the only goalie that we know for a fact that will be NZL calibe on the Canucks is the one everyone wants to trade |

Before the last 30 games Lack was anything but an NHL starter. He had a good 30 games, trade him now while his value is high because in five years he'll be Millers age and non-relevant. |

Those second round picks did not evaporate. They are genuine NHL players filling those two spots for years and years. Benning had to fill MGs holes. Yes I know I said fill Gillis's holes
Benning did not traded for an aging Derrick Roy, or any other crap trade that Gillis did at TDL. Benning is stuck filling that gap that was handed to him. Good job JB |

Playing every third week , I wonder why his game was not 100% |

But we are booking on Markstrom whom on three previous chances has been blown out the water? |

I'm not sure what your point is. He had the bulk of games 2nd half last yr and looked shaky at best. Its not like he really gave them a lot of options going into this season |

I'd wager that he will be an NHL tender for the rest of his career. His dedication to improving every summer is second to only the Sedins at this point (on our team). I want Demko and Markstrom to be learning the ropes from him. |

I can't wait to laugh my ass off at you guys when we have Markstrom and Miller and we start getting blown out 9-2 .
Lack was our best goalie last year, and it is pointless having these same debates 3 times a week.
Let's see how the team looks under Marky. No use keep on talking about it |

Agree. Lack came in and did a great job.
But to be fair he had the benefit of no Bieksa and no Edler. |

At Millers age he got a 1st + at TDL before signing with us. His value will rise over time |

It's hilarious that there is even a debate over this issue. Everywhere else in the lineup people are demanding that we trade older guys for younger guys. Miller is a solid player, but Lack was the better goaltender last year; and he's younger. You'd think that there would be unanimous agreement on this issue. |

He was better than Miller. He beat Luongo out of his starting job here and even before Millers injury Lack was starting to overtake him.
Why do you want to trade our young talent and keep the old fluffs |

The problem is that if we can't trade Miller we may have to let Lack walk at the end of this season due to him wanting a raise to around 4m. Also markstrom will likely go to europe to play if he is not in the nhl next season. Given this, what would you do? obviously trade Miller and run Lack/Mark next season. But what if you can't trade Miller at all? I agreed with wanting Lack/Mark over Miller/Mark or even Miller/Lack. But this is the problem we are dealing with if we go Miller/Lack. |
