I do think they are over paid. How much will it be for a family of 4 to go to a game in Canada next year.. A nice night out to the game with your wife and kids. $ 1800 holy crap. Movie it is.

Teams are moving away from defense-only defensemen these days it seems. It's a shame since Emelin has looked great at times and he destroys people on a nightly basis but he doesn't seem to be needed in Montreal anymore.

i don't understand why this concept is so hard to understand. salary structure has evolved but our thinking hasn't and for some reason, we still think of $5 million as star money while stupidly pointing to the cap hits of Tavares and Keith (my absolute fave). i would love to know what people think a 20-22 minute #3 defenceman is worth on the open market.
