Agreed....this trade rumor seems extremely far fetched to say the least. That pick has a lot of potential for Carolina and usually high end prospects provide very good value to budget teams during their first few seasons.

I don't know about this. Seems to be heavily favoring the Leafs in this deal. I would love to see it happen. Hanifin and Marner is a great way to begin the rebuild, but Semin isn't what he used to be and his numbers show it.

Crazier things have happened and it's not like we haven't seen teams swap top picks. Look what Burkie did to get the twins in Vancouver, it was sheer genius.

If Toronto can land this trade, they have a very bright future on the back end with Reilly and Hanifin and a quality forward in Marner who can be a legit top three player. Fingers crossed.
