When are people going to stop with wanted to trade for Lehner, he is 1 more hit away from not knowing his name anymore. Move on there are better goalies out there. - SABRES 89
Agreed. I'd pass on Lehner. Other options. |

It's all a pipe dream of course but the pieces are there to make it happen if they wanted to. Throw out a 7 year $60 million contract at Vlad and watch St. Louis lose their minds - Stripes77
I would more worry about the four 1st rd picks we will have to give up, and being in the same position financially when eichel, risto, Reinhart, ennis, zadorov, bogo, Girgensons all needing contracts in a couple years and watching teams offer sheeting those guys than worry about St. Louis losing their minds. What a bad idea

Make the average salary $8.4 and it would be 2 1st's 1 2nd 1 3rd.
If Chicago can afford Kane and Toews we should be able to make it work. |

Amerks may be moving to Buffalo per John Vogl. Holy poopballs!
Correction: Half the games. Kind of cool. Good value for us. Bad for Rochester. - Buffalo--Sabres
the Sharts just moved their team from the East coast to San Jose. I was hoping to catch the Amerks out here a few times, but hen they moved the divisions around. I understand that the Sharts want their farm team closer, but I wonder how that will affect ticket sales to have 2 teams playing in the same town. San Jose isn't known as a hockey hotbed.

It's been like that for years.
Personally I hate the Blue Cross arena. It's modern exterior
Can't help the horribly dated interior. The seats are too crammed. Most junior teams you've heard of have better arena's. |

It's why there is the threat to move half the games though. |

They just redid the inside of the arena in Erie something like that would be nice in Rochester |

If the Sabres somehow acquired Tarasenko, I'd sh!t myself ! Tarasenko reminds me of another Alexander Mogilny. Would be awesome but highly doubt him leaving St. Louis. |

I think Ek floated something like this a while back. While this surely wouldn't happen some of it isn't far-fetched. Semin is actually a negative in the trade for Toronto (I've read speculation that Carolina will give him away and eat much of his salary).
I don't see Kessel having near the value that Leafs fans hope for because of his cap hit. I could see that trade happening if they added Gardiner. |

Their reasoning behind it is that Semin has a risky contract but Kessel doesn't
Semin has 3 more years left, Kessel has 7 left for $8 million |

Right, but it is still severe overpayment. That said, Toronto should do anything it can to get #5.
