I could win with Elliott or Anderson, and they would cost less than the others mentioned. - Slump Buster
I might be lumping u in with others,
But most keep saying tey don't want a goalie that takes up that much cap space |

Almost every playoff team is good all around
If the guys we had last year are capable starters...
Then how come they don't start?
Anywhere?
Oh wait, they did... For a handful of game for the worst team in the league.
If they were really as good as Howard or Fleury or whatever other overpriced goalies u think is average...
Then why aren't they getting the chance to start?
Wouldn't it just make sense for all these teams to NOT PAY a guy 6mil and sign Lindback?
Maybe the Caps will do that with Holtby
If they're stupid, that is - jdfitz77
I never argued that ewok or Neuvy should be our starters. I was merely pointing out that they could be starters in the league. If we brought one back for next year I'd be fine with it. If not, I'm still fine. |

Most are saying that you don't need to overpay for a goalie because they are everywhere and indistinguishable from each other. There is a difference. |

I'm in that group. Rather wait a year or two. Might be a good goalie that WANTS to play here. |

What goalie UFA's are avail 15-16 ? Team might be more inviting after a season. I'm sure other teams notice what we have and will be playing in the next 2 years,
Im excited . - cabin
Not sure
I'm excited or the Sabres as well
But goalie is a huge question mark for me
That's why I'm making such a big deal about it |

Do you think Chicago would lose sleep if Darlington is their starter next year? Of course not - they have a good team. That's all that matters. Once again, how many teams can you say made it or didn't make it because of goaltending? Dallas? |

You're wrong on Lindback. He played more than a "Handful" of games. He showed what he is capable when he is ready to play on a regular basis, he was STELLAR at times. He is basically FREE, he is HUGE, has comfort with the defense and if he stinks up the joint, put him on waivers. Low Risk - High Reward.....
How can Lindback start for another team when he can't until the season begins? You're suggestion that he just can't be any good becuase he played poorly on his previous teams doesn't gurantee he won't be a decent goaltender with great size for a couple of years. |

This is what is baffling about all of this. We just witnessed a bizarro year where we had to chase off three goalies because they were too good and people are worried about not finding another. When was the last time we had a goaltending problem? Late 70's? |

Its hilarious how people don't want to acquire players that are over 25, not only does it set you up for cap problems down the road, without being able to stack contacts, you'll lack veteran leadership. Ask the Oilers how that has worked out. |

But they'd consider 6mil a year an overpayment
Guess how much the two guys playing or the cup this year make? |

Gionta, Moulson, McCormick, Bogo... how many more do you need? You need a handful of vets and we have that. The vet thing is so overrated. Five years ago we were flush with all of these so-called character guys and we were terrible. |

Maybe as a backup though |

Goaltending has never been an issue for Buffalo. It always seems to somehow work itself out.
Do I want to pay at guy like $6 mil a year right now? No. And I don't think we need to to be honest. |

Sold. Or substitute in any other 10 names that are at that level. Some will pan out, some won't. |
