Sure, kudos to him. It's also pretty dumb if he isn't going to consider making this team better because the players available aren't under 24 years old.
I get the logic, I really do. But there are many ways to improve your team, if he truly is a good GM, I doubt he's narrowing the field on how to make us better |

I think I did my math right, but if we BO Hodgson, his cap hit will be $701,250 for 8 years. |

No one said anything about availability. Well I mean, as far as the general public knows. There may be a few guys who aren't being shopped, Murray inquires and the GM says, well, if you can step up, we'll consider it.
Of course there's a ton of ways to improve. But right now, this year, I'm under the impression that this team will not be improved upon based on UFA signings and 30+ trade targets. This argument is so wide open I don't even want to take a hack at it.
I can see us trading that other first for either a better pick or a better player (forward) entering or before his prime. I think that's going to be the extent of our improvement this year. |

And I would agree for the most part, I think we are both on the same page when it comes to RORORORORROR.
If the Oilers said, hey give us the 21st pick for Jordan Eberle, I'd be all over it, but chances are they would want Zadorov and the 21st or Pysyk and a few other pieces, at that point, I say F no, draft a winger at 21, and trade for a stop gap until said player is ready |

Just using your offers as a base for my comment, you're absolutely right, I don't use any of our current NHL defenseman talent plus the 21st to get Eberle. If there's someone out there who better suits our team or is held in a higher regard, maybe. But let's say Murray can't get his hands on a pro he wants. Seeing as the talent scale in the draft is 1-2, 3-5, 6-10, 11-20, 21-x, I don't think it would be too much to move down up to 8-10 spots. I think that can definitely be achieved with average quality talent or the 51. |

We looked to see how much tickets were going for in Chicago for game 4 while we were watching game 3 on Monday. The cheapest one was $715. |
