Foligno is a product of his last name. He gets over valued in Buffalo because of it. If there was a Foligno for Lack trade it would help both teams. But it wouldn't just be Foligno the Sabres would be giving up they would have to add. If Foligno is on this team for the 2016-2017 season he should be a 4th liner. The worst thing that happened to him was putting up 9 points in 10 games or whatever it was when he was playing with Ennis and Stafford.
He tried turning into a power forward when in reality he is nothing more but a big grinder, which is fine but not when you think you're a scorer all of a sudden.
I would not cry if he was moved. In fact if another team thinks he has some value and would give up something of need for the Sabres I would do that trade in a heartbeat.
You were the one who said he never showed any heart at all. If that's your opinion it's fine, you can continue to be completely delusional. I'm not going to waste my time telling you examples.
I'd like to see you go out and throw checks with a separated shoulder and see how it feels. That's basically what you seem to think he should have done the previous season. He played most of the year with it and then finally was able to have surgery to repair it last offseason. The beginning of this year was him getting comfortable with the way the shoulder rehabbed. Once he did, he was causing all sorts of raucous out there until he missed time with the broken hand. - HonkFortheGoose
Love those types of statements.
So, by playing through a separated shoulder all year he was FINALLY rewarded with offseason surgery? That's how those things work?
Edit: We just traded for a guy who had the "smarts" to tell his team he needed surgery halfway through the season. If you play all year with an injury, you deserve all the criticism associated with your play, taking up a roster spot and being an idiot. Just my opinion.

You can get lack for picks and then move foligno in another deal for a position of need. 20 pts in 57 games at 23 years old will carry value around the league.

Foligno for Lack straight up is an absolute steal. I wouldn't worry about other deals if you could make that happen. Foligno has some value sure but it's not like he would bring anything more than a 3rd or 4th round pick by himself

It's not like Lack is some bonafide #1 starter. There's still a chance he regresses back to what he was a year ago or like how he played in the playoffs.
